Good isn't the same as nice. A good man can do violence if necessary, and he can be hard on someone if it will do the other man some good. A nice guy let's others just "be themselves" in order to avoid any confrontations. Nice men are often bad men in disguise.

The ones who rock the boat when everyone hesitates to say what everyone is thinking. The ones to take a step forward and refuse to settle and conform. The ones who dare to change for the better while everyone else around them stay stuck and judge them for dreaming "too big" or thinking "too high" of themselves.

I say be authentic and be yourself--a person can be introverted/kind and not care at all about any social hierarchy or acceptance; they can have plenty of inner strength and are not necessarily shy...On the other hand, I've encountered a number of insecure "tough guys"/alpha males who care dearly about being accepted ultimately.
