Ole E going to start looking like Trevor from GTA 5. 😄 I'm in the same boat E, but I'm 27. Our masculinity doesn't depend on things we can't control, and I actually don't think it looks bad. Will Knowlands speech on Patriarchy comes to mind here, scars and marking, even aging are a sign of the life you've lived, e.g. WW2 vets with holes in their head. Or Lions with scars and lame legs. Maybe doesn't look good by worldly standards but is actually a badge of honor, I think. Some people don't live long enough to go grey or lose their hair.

As a barber my self ; You should fade the sides with a Skin tight fade . . And cut the top down to like a 2 or a 1 .It will give you a cleaner look. While doing that ,you can use the serum on the desired areas so the hair can grow evenly. And yes I recommend doing scalp messages daily along with derma rolling once a week with the serum. Its androgenic alopecia, if you want your hair back what I recomend the most is using rogaine + dermaroller at least 0.5 mm needle length and a good oil for hair follicle nutrition. The way you do it is you pour rogane mixed with a nice hair oil and dermaroll on top to get the most product into your scalp. I have great hair genetics but I used PEDS in the past so my sides were starting to thin, I did that and now im good as new.. try it!!

-0.05% Finasteride and 5% minoxidil in a topical treatment. Apply 1 ml a day. -Nizoral Shampoo 3x a week. -1mm-1.5mm derma roller or derma stamp maybe 2-3 times a week (clean with alcohol). If you do that, your hairline should at least partly come back. You might want to be careful with Finastirde bc it has some strange sides sometimes; topical is generally better and my recommendation. I started balding at 16/17 and started a partial treatment at 19 and a complete tre ment at 22; now I am 24 and have not lost much more since I was 19 and gained some extra back at 22/23 when I did the complete treatment.

I still feel the need to prove myself in the world and that tends to involve an amount of peacocking, so I do sometimes get self conscious. Annoyed, at this point tbh. I've realized that it's best just to grow the healthiest hair that you can regardless of how you are balding, and it will look good. That means taking vitamins for your hair and collagen. And then let it do its thing and growth naturally. All these guys say, "shave it" and all this. But I've tried shaving it, and that's high maintenance as hell. Plus, I've noticed that women prefer me with hair regardless of my male pattern baldness as opposed to completely shaving my head bald and looking like a cancer patient.

I’m already saving for a hair transplant in the temple/hairline area with a reputable surgeon either in Mexico or Turkey. I’m 33 and my temples are not as patchy and filled as before. One side is pushing back in a snail pace but it’s pushing back. I just can’t do the bald route. My head and facial shape is not suited for it. I would literally go in a spiraled depression rut of darkness. A man’s healthy vitality and vibrancy is based a lot on his full set of hair. Elliott, you can rock a bald look and still look active and attractive, man. Or you always have the transplant route. I have two acquaintances who had transplants in the front and they came out clean. You can’t tell and it looks natural. Their confidence shot up.

Elliott you should look into getting on finasteride to stop ur hairloss and also grow ur hair back. I have been on finasteride 1.25mg daily for over a year now. The reason why I got on it was because I shaved my hair short in Aug 2022 (number 2) and noticed right away the corners of the front of my hair had thinned a bit, almost like someone had shaved a small line through each corner (I was a month short of turning 31 at this time, but wasnt surprised because that's where my dad has lost hair). The last time I shaved my hair short like this was when I was 26 and had no thinning at this time. So once I saw the thinning, I already knew about finasteride but not much info, so I started watching heaps of KZbin vids and research on the internet, saw the possible side effects but saw they're rare to get, and in a week and a half I decided I will try it. So I went to my doctor, and said I noticed I've lost some hair, said I wanted to get on finasteride, and got a prescription no problem and started it. I didn't get any side effects at all, and wanted to eventually shave my head number 2 again after a year to see if hair has grown back, stayed the same, or if I've lost more. So I shaved my hair number 2 again, and I was surprised to see my hair is back to 100%! Also there is dutasteride which is basically a stronger version if you dont get good results from finasteride.

Funny to watch this. Im 26 and never had a problem with my hair. Cut my hair bald today just cause its more convenient. As a doc I would never recommend any "active substances" such as finasteride or minoxidil. They have side effects and you have to keep taking them. In fact they might give you a rebound effect once you stop, and you could lose even more hair later once you quit. I would rather be jacked and let my facial hair grow. Peoples attachment to their hair is understandable, but at a certain point it does not make sense to do all these obsessive rituals

Yes, of course the TRT accelerated your hair loss greatly. Forget the serum, you should use Finasteride plus 5% Minoxidil and you could get a pretty good regrowth in about 6 month. Also Ketoconazole shampoo for the fungal infection and mild anti-androgen effect in the scalp. These are the classical big 3 of the hair loss mitigation, it worked great for me. I also tried dermarolling, but I don't really know how much that helps.

I'm pretty sure it's alopecia which is a auto-immune condition which pops up when your cns is inflamed. I have the same issue but in my beard. Too much caffeine, bad sleep, working out, stress etc can cause this. Usually a bunch of things at once are what cause it. I highly recommend looking into a cns reset. It may cause the hair to start growing back. Just a thought!

I had alopecia areata, 3 bald spots smooth as a baby on my scalp for 3 years, stumbled on a video with Dr eric berg, dark side of zinc etc about 4 months ago. Started to take two zinc pills with my last meal of the day, then weeks later i notice finally more growth. In late november my bald spots fully grew back. I also lost weight, stress lowered which also could contributed. I also massaged the scalp and earlier dermarolled, But heard Alopecia is inflammation in the gut so gotta fix that i think.

Not all alopecia is due to an auto-immune condition. What Elliot most likely has is male pattern baldness, which is genetic. You can tell by the way he's balding in the front that it's not an auto-immune condition.

It’s DHT fam, your hair follicles are sensitive to it and you produce more as you get older (and when you use PED’s) finasteride and minoxidil will prob reverse most of what you have going on but you’ll have to use it permanently and 2% of the people who use it end up having sexual side effects like ED. A more permanent and less androgenic way of addressing it is by injecting your scalp with stem cells that aren’t DHT sensitive to replace the hair follicles that have deactivated from DHT exposure.

Elliot needs to be on top of blocking DHT (topically - naturally, or pharmaceutically) and start some microneedling and some kind of hair growth support like castor oil or clean minoxidil.

I was looking it up on Google about home remidies for hair growth. Maybe it could be helpful for men to try some of them. Rice water, oatmeal treatments, rosemery water n stuff. Might help for scalp health at the least and be better then some other options. Eating some foods might help ,where eating can help. Salmon, nuts, yogurt, bell peppers were some of the suggestions I found in a mens health article, I think that's where it was. Salmon I think is good for raising testosterone perhaps as well.

Check out Gary Linkov, he has a bunch of videos covering this stuff. The treatment that really works for most people is oral Minoxidil (Rogaine) and Finasteride in conjunction but it sounds like you are opposed to going down that road. He also sells shampoo and conditioner with Saw Palmetto, Pumpkin Seed Oil, Curcumin and Caffeine. You could also try a shampoo with Ketoconazole if you're worried about fungus. Derma rolling is also a good idea.

My hair has thinned out in areas. I washed my hair line for like a minute, rinsed and repeated until my hand skin crinkled. I might have used an exfoliating glove on occasion. The result was the tiny barely visible bumfluff (start of a beard) (I have blonde hair)that quickly disappears when the skin fills up with oil. I notice that beard grows in your grunt face when you’re lifting more but I think it’s like running where you have to be on it every day.

Yes. This is androgenic alopecia the beginning of it. Your hair is sensitive to a converted form of testosterone called DHT dihydrotestosterone. They bind to the hair follicle and miniaturization of the hair starts until they become baby hairs. An intensive program of minoxidil, topical finasteride or taken in oral pill form once a day or its stronger cousin dutasteride along with dermarolling will be necessary. Dutasteride and finasteride should be prescribed and are available. Caps and hats cut off the blood circulation to the scalp and accelerate baldness. Oh and the grey is your hair that is growing in is losing its pigment and melanin due to age. Dyeing your hair is a choice, but hair can fall out as dye is a harsh chemical treatment that has to be repeated over and over again.

Avoid shampoos with parabens and sulfate, they can irritate the scalp and can affect the hormone negatively.. Derma stamp scalp once a week and use Minoxodil everyday. I've used Mielle Organics Rosemary Mint Scalp & Hair Strengthening Oil, it help treats the scalp and nourish the hair.

I know Elliot is probably good but just in case someone is interested. There are only 2 things you need for hairloss and its medical treatment such as „Finasteride“ to stop hairloss and minoxidil, it prevents hair from thinning out so if you have both your doing it right. Hair serum isn’t bad you can make some improvements but when the hair loss is at that stage its too late to grow it back so you could get a hairtransplant and continue your medical treatment after it to maintain that new look. Or just accept it. So if you only use minoxidil it wont prevent your hair from falling out because it only stimulates hair growth and they probably get thicker but you need a DHT blocker such as finasteride or dutasteride to prevent your hair from falling out. Derma rolling is also effective but you should only use it if you are on medical treatment because it also wont prevent your hair from falling out

Elliott, we're the same age and I have a similar hair loss situation to you. I tried using finasteride/propecia for 3 years and had bad side effects. It's an androgen blocker, so no, don't use that. I also tried Rogaine/Minoxidil foam that you rub into the troubled areas once to twice a day. It did help, but when I was out in the sun, it had a bad reaction and my entire face got swollen, so I stopped that too. What could have damaged your hair is crash dieting or even strong shampoos with toxic chemicals, like Head and Shoulders. Anyway, that's my experience as a 46 year old in the same situation as you, who is also trying to get back in shape with previous injuries and an annoying trigger finger on my right hand!

Finasteride isn’t an androgen blocker. It is a type 2 5ar inhibitor. It reduces the production of dht which is a vestigial hormone once you’re fully developed,in adult males testosterone is the important androgen when it comes to masculinity and virility and finasteride actually increases testosterone by 10 percent.
