Thanks for the video, Joel! The drums sounded great! I always struggled because being a guitar player and not a drummer, I’ve never had a good grip on writing drum grooves from scratch to compliment the song as a real drummer would do. Using canned midi grooves can get me started but I never necessarily end up with what I would really like to hear.

Programming drums is like anything… it takes practice! Messing with the velocity is key in my opinion to get them to sound more realistic. Thanks for watching my dude!

Are you able to use Hertz Drums as a drum replacement plugin?

I suppose you could for sure! I tend to use trigger 2 for that.

@@HomeRecordingNetworkmy question though, is how. Bcuz at it is, I’m already struggling to the free version Trigger 2. And on the free version, the samples sound like garbage to be honest. Also, I’m currently using the free version of Hertz Drums, and I have absolutely no idea how to get them to be used as a drum replacement plugin

@@ShaneMcCosky45 I have never used it for sampling. Trigger is the standard for sampling. You may need to purchase better samples that’s all.

I disagree, I loved the vocal. I also like sans beard, you look liked a kid again. Do you feel that the "key differentiators" are the articulations, and that these might be better than EZ Drummer's?

I don’t think ez drummer has the different “hits”. I could be wrong but I use to use it and upgraded it to superior drummer after awhile…

@@thewarhenk too bad! Looks like you are stuck with band in a box. Those drums always sounded pretty good though. Or are you using ezdrummer now?

@@HomeRecordingNetwork I've considered it. As I've had outside production with a live drummer, I've held off. A friend in the genre has used them with good success though.
