En vivo en 1975. La mala calidad del audio no opaca la poderosa voz de Carl Wilson.

In 1974, in Denver at the old Coliseum, Carl did this incredible lead , with Billy Hinshce, Mike, Al, Dennis, & James Guercio doing harmonies. It was gorgeous. What a voice, only Carl could do it. Wolfsky9, 66 y/o

Hy Wolfsky- I love all your coments in the BB videos... As we say in Argentina: Aguante Beach Boys... AGUANTE Carl Wilson!!!
@daisyjane10706 жыл бұрын
I like that - does aguante mean like "live forever" or "endure"?

Wolfsky, will I ever disagree with you? Doubt it. Carl KILLED this song! I don't think anyone can beat that. Vince Gill, better than any sheer Mortal could do. Carl's was better! steve

Carl did well and he is good as Brian on The Warmth the sun. R.I.P Carl Wilson 1946-1998 gone but never forgotten and forever remembered in our hearts. Also for those of your who are viewing this song, this is a good song to hear when you’re feeling sad.

Carl's falsetto was absolutely gorgeous. If you don't know " Good Timin" is ALL Carl----every bit of it, lead, backgrpounds & falsetto. It's all Carl. -----------------------WolfSky9

I wish Brian had done the falsettos on it. It really missed his falsetto sound.

Wolf, Carl didn't sing Falsetto. Brian did, and Alan Jardine was the KILLER on Falsetto. Carl had the range, in his natural voice. steve

Carl nailed this lead, just as Jeff Foskett & Scott Totten have. Incredibly difficult song to sing well : I know, I've tried, when I was a much younger man. -------WolfSky9

Surely Matt Jardine has sang as lead on this as well, was well impressed with Matt's voice in the early 1990s tours when the Boys were in the UK.

Not fair. Mike wrote many of the lyrics you like and Al is a great singer and wrote some good songs for the group when Brian had tripped himself into oblivion.

@@DenkyManner That's Mike NOW saying he wrote many of the lyrics. He didn't say that in 1964, he didn't say that 1975, and he didn't say that 1983. All 3 times Mike is on record saying Brian wrote all the songs. What great song did Al write? I'm still trying to figure that one out

For everyone who is watching, which performance of The Warmth Of The Sun is better this performance or the Seattle Kingdome 1983 performance?
@matthewrider59062 жыл бұрын
Carl could cover most all of Brian's beautiful falsetto parts live, but it just didn't have that whine, that pain, that melancholy abt it... God Only Knows, Surf's Up, I Get Around, Don't Worry Baby, The Warmth of the Sun.... Carl could knock em all outta the park. No question. But I guess I'm a 'Brian purist.' Gimme Brian singing lead any day. I even prefer the version of God Only Knows w/Brian's demo vocal, which he originally intended to sing, anyway. Same w/Surf's Up.
@mrabc12345678911111 Жыл бұрын
Jeff Facett was the original singing on that

No good. You can't substitute Brian's dreamy falsetto for this. No way.
@patriciacarey1741 Жыл бұрын
The sound quality here is terrible. If the sound was good, or even if the sound was adequate, Carl's vocal here would stack up to Brian's much better than this live version does.
@sjh9173 Жыл бұрын
@patriciacarey1741 This was 1975 when Carl's voice went to pot and so did Brian's, for that matter.
