Hi Matthew, these vids have been extremely helpful for our spring break trip to Gulf Shores the last week of March. We're avid fishermen and love new challenges. After a couple days of double red flag, the wind and surf finally settled down and water clarity became ideal with a north wind. We were able to get into a massive mess of Pomps. On our best day, we were able to fill our 2 man limit with the largest being 20.5"!! A trip of a lifetime. Thanks for sharing your journey! Always stayin' Bummy in Ohio.

Sometimes by best catches are in the worst weather conditions. Makes for a not so great video but an awesome cook portion!

Wife..."Why do you need so many rods? You only use one at a time!" Husband..."Think of them as shoes."

Always a bummer when obligations get in the way of fishing on a perfect fishing day. Gotta do what we can!

Glad to see you hitting the beach again. Keep it up and is informed. I’ll be down the end of May. First time since the store opened.

I have been looking for a beach cart like yours and haven’t been able to find one. I checked your website but didn’t see it. Any info is greatly appreciated. Love the channel!

Matt, This year I'm in Washington State working the same job I had last year on a fish trap counting and marking juvenile coho salmon. I may not do this again next year because it takes away all my spring fish opportunities back in Michigan not tomention the travel time just getting out here. And, I can't see pending a hundred bucks on a Washington non-resident fishing license when I only pay eleven for a senior license back home. Next year I'm going to try to walk into shop early late March or early April. I haven't caught a Pomp yet.

Nothing wrong with a croaker, damn good eating and it’s better than a hard head.

Is there a magic hour for pompano, tidal influenced bite, etc? I’m in Louisiana but if I get a day off work I want to run out there. Any need to get up stupid early for a hot shot trip?

Matthew, how do you keep the tops of your feet from sunburning? I put sun screen on top of mine then the water just washes it off and my feet sunburn.

The Polluted water coming out of Mobile Bay with a West wind is a Tragedy.

The government has been paid off for way too long to allow the bay to be inundated with toxins for way too long .

Matt, I know you guys do beach cart rentals. Do or would y'all take trade in's to use as rentals if I were to buy an upgrade from you? My cart is only 1yr old but it is single axle and does not have the "balloon" tires, it's got the other. I also added a thin, light weight aluminum bottom that is nice. It is a longer cart like yours and fits tons of gear. I am 60 and it is a pain for me by myself in the loose sand and want to upgrade to one like yours. I guess I can call the store. Thanks for all you do! Hope to see y'all expand to my area in the future in west Pensacola.

Type of hooks?
@FoulOwl2112Ай бұрын
2/0 circle hooks are perfect for both Pompano and Whiting. Most beach bait shops will have pre-tied Pompano rigs ready to go. Just ask the counter and they'll fix you right up. Don't forget to get a few 2-3oz pyramid weights to clip on.
