Hi Boseok, there are lots of places where salmon can show up at the right times of the year but sometimes they can show up when you least expect them. A few places i have caught them are. Waits, Parsons, South Port, Christies, Osullivans beach, Osullivans break wall, Port stanvac rocks. Victor Harbour, Murray mouth, Tunkalilla beach, Deep creek, and a few more. They are manly a winter species but there are places on the Fleurieu perninsular near Christmas. I caught my first salmon off port Jetty in the summer time 8 years old. Hope that helps mate

Hi Andy, yes mate it's going to be rough this weekend but if you are keen it could be worth your while also more experience gained, it also can be quite invigorating. If you are heading to Waitpinga there are some nice gutters at present so a good chance of finding some clean blue water in amongst the white water. Can I recommend having a look from Waitpinga, Parsons headland a good view to pick a spot before heading down. there have been a lot of small plump salmon trout at present also a chance of some larger fish. Down past the creek has been good all the best Andy......David.

Hey David, im an Adelaide local I've been wanting to get into beach fishing and I have alot of problems being able to find where I need to fish on the beach are you able to do a bit of an explanation on how to find a gutter
@davidsheldonfishing97264 жыл бұрын
Hi Nathan, When you arrive at a surf beach the first thing you should do Is look for the breaking waves thats where the shallow water is or sand bars, next to the waves you will see deep water generally darker in colour indicating deeper water where the waves ar'nt breaking thats the gutter running out to see, the gutters are the fishes roads which they use to come into the beaches to feed. These gutters normally swing in and run along the edges of beaches between the beach and a sandbar, a great place to fish is underneath the white foamy water created by the breaking wave that passes over the top of these narrow gutters also known as channels. If you fish in the main gutter running out to sea fish along the edge of the deep and shallow water, fish always prefer these places to feed. Also watch my first ever waitpinga beach video I try to point that out. That should get you started Nathan all the best mate....David

Hello David, how much wind speed is max for surf fishing? Is 40 to 50 kmperhr still fine for surf fishing? Does windy condition more than average create more chances of catching fish?
@davidsheldonfishing97263 жыл бұрын
Hi Bir Shre, yes you can still fish 40 -50kmh if there is a gutter on the beach (deep water) not too far out for casting and its not churned up too much with sand you still have a good chance of catching a fish. Windy and rough also moderately rough conditions can be good days for fishing, if after mullet or smaller fish calmer conditions for me are preferred. Fishing in the elements can be exhilarating and experience learnt. In some places the rough weather can create more chances of catching a fish for example Port Noarlunga jetty fires up with salmon in the extremely rough weather but not every where, just stay safe and on the beach. Up to 50 kmh is the strongest wind I have fished in on the beach and that felt strong enough. All the best.....David
