Good video. Have you tried a thing called a popping bug or a popper? We use them on the beaches where I live. It's a small hook on a small float combined with you rig on a line about 30cm long. It stays off the bottom apparently.
@fishingintheukgarywood6 жыл бұрын
Thanks catweasle, I haven’t used one befor I’ll have to look them up on google. Do you catch much with them?
@catweasle57376 жыл бұрын
Sometimes. You don't bait them. The ones I have used are red and white. I have caught the odd taylor or mullet.

Great video. Thanks. Are there any sand banks on that beach, where you can get caught out by the tide? Happened to me at Seaton Sluice once, and it wasn't fun! 😎
@fishingintheukgarywood6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I don’t think there are any at the south end of the beach where I was fishing. I think there are a couple near the pier side of the beach that you have to keep an eye out for.

Hi! Another great video. Have you tried the Berkley Gulp baits? If not they would make an interesting video.

Hi thanks Giles. I’ve used the large sand worms but haven’t had much success with them. Which ones would you recommend?
@gileswhitehead74376 жыл бұрын
Fishing in the UK , yes used the sand worms they worker well for wrasse and bass. I also used them as a cocktail with mackerel in very coloured water with good results.

Is it worth have a go at lure fishing there I need places I can park near and looking on the map it seems OK
@fishingintheukgarywood5 жыл бұрын
Yes it's worth a shot I've had some decent bass from this beach from the corner of the beach closest to the canon.
@lawrencethompson38055 жыл бұрын
@@fishingintheukgarywood Thanks for that it's food for thought as I said I need close access as I fish using a mobility scooter if I can get partway I can manage down the beach

Cracking flounder mate , do you use sandeel often up here I've never tried it. When fishing the middle of the beach do you park at the pier end and walk along. Keep the videos coming and tight line's atb Alan 🎣👍
@fishingintheukgarywood6 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I usually keep the sandeel for over the West coast, Scotland and Wales i only use it sometimes over here when they are about. I usually park in the trow quarry carpark near the waters edge pub when I'm fishing the middle or the South end of the beach. Tight lines mate.
