Things will get better. I was there a couple months ago. I tried to focus on mini accomplishments and see how they built every day. I noticed they grew every day and I found an individual confidence that I seriously lacked at the time. Hope you can try it out if you’re still in that state and see if it helps. I’m very glad that Beach House has gotten the recognition they always deserved. I remember when Devotion came out, me and my ex girlfriend used to be like kittens in a box listening to that album. In my opinion, it’s their masterpiece. And that was what… 2008? For a while, it seemed like the entire planet was sleeping hard as could be on BH, then one day I started seeing their songs in skate videos, started seeing vids of theirs getting tens of millions of views, and it felt good, since it hurt my feelings thinking Victoria and Alex were not even making a living off this lush glorious art. Then one day, BAM! They are doing it. Same exact thing happened with Tame Impala, Innerspeaker came out (again their masterpiece) and me and my friends listened that album to death. I went to see them play a show, and there wasn’t even maybe 100 people there. 10 years later and they are HUGE. Granted both bands grew to styles unlike their origins, but their early stuff is so amazing that they didn’t have to make another note for me to be content and for their mark to have been made in me.

This song is so beautiful to be real. I don't know how to describe what this makes me feel like but it's unique, it's a unique feeling I only get when listening to beach house. I've loved beach house since their beginnings, they came to Washington to perform and get this new album out for fans, I was so broke and wasn't able to get the tickets on time for me and my little brother, omg it had to be on the worst month of my life that they were here, I was so sad we didn't make it but I got up and walked just right past the venue around the back doors where the tour buses we're and I heard Beach House through the walls jamming to "Once twice melody" and my brother and I felt as if we were there right in the front rows, it made my night! Just seeing the happiness light up in my brother and his gratitude of being right next to his favorite band made me so happy! Beach House is the best band out there! So original and Raw talent! I don't think they'll be in Washington for another few years but I'll try to see them in California some day.
