Wee Friday had a great time at the beach, unfortunately I didn't get him on video when we first arrived. He was off the lead and running like crazy, but a big dog arrived, so safety first. They use the term "punching above" but I'm fine with that Phil 🤣🤣

Yes this is a deal for sure. There used to be another 2 that did happy hours, holiday inn, (rooftop) and Mantra (now gone). So you could go Hilton 5 till 7) , Holiday Inn (7 till 9) then mantra( 9 till 11) all at 50% 🤣🤣

Hi David & Beautiful Nong, Great Vlog loved the restaurant near the beach reasonable priced. I’ve been lucky to be able to stay in Hilton hotels all round the world, I just love the Pattaya Hilton when I stayed there two Xmas ago in the hight of COVID for 4 weeks it was fantastic the staff and service was great except one night we booked the Horizon Roof Top bar and I took a couple of fellow country men and their lady friends which I met on there KZbin channels. Well I have to say the service that night was shocking it was a little busy and I am sure probably a bit short staff because of COVID. We also were on a 50% discount because of Hilton membership so all the drinks and snacks came to around 5000 Bth and my partner does not drink alcohol only mock cocktails. We paid for most of it at half price one of my new found fellow country men was rightly pee off paying 1000Bth towards the bill talk about Cheap Charlie I wouldn’t mine but he had a few bob so he told me a number times, as the say in Thailand you can take the guy out of the local bar but you can’t take the local bar out of him 😂 little changed around 😂 needless to say we did not keep in contact after that night it’s wasn’t even my idea to have drinks in the Horizon I know a lot of people it wouldn’t be there kinda place if you know what I mean Love your food vlogs hope to catch up and have a beer or coffee in November will be staying for around 4 months this time I be traveling around and staying at my home in Hua Hin. Hey Paul, glad you enjoyed the mix between lower priced and the Hilton. Before Covid there were several roof top bars had buy one get one offers, all conveniently staggered, we used to have a great night out (on a budget). Yes with your friend..."talks cheap" I always say 🙏🙏

An enjoyable vlog David, nice to see the beach below the Asia Hotel and a glimpse of the hotel itself, brought back fond memories of a stay there 40 years ago. How Phratamnak has changed, the hotel and its golf course (proper course, not pitch and putt as it is now) took up the right hand side of Soi 4 as you head away from the beach, not much else up there apart from the Royal Cliff hotel.

Great you found one of my favourite spots, they also bring the food to you if you want on the beach. I also like to walk to the viewing area at the left end of the beach. There’s few weights that I like to exercise with. My Thai girlfriend is like yours, always stays out of the sun, but is happy to spend time on the beach and she even swims occasionally in the sea!

Really enjoyable video Dave. Your missus seems similar to mine in her choice of food and her keenness to stay out of the sun where possible………not forgetting the non stop selfie lol. But as long as everyone is happy eh. Horizons looks a lovely chilled place. Was actually expecting the cocktails to be more expensive for that setting but the 241 makes it a really good place for a treat.

Hi David, a really nice looking spot for lunch. I recognized it from your beach video. I've been to Horizon bar in the Hilton a few times and the BOGOF is a great deal. I had the Mojito too! Have you been to the rooftop terrace @ the Holiday Inn Pattaya? I'm not sure if it's open at the moment but it's very chilled and nice to watch a sunset. They have a Happy Hour too which is much cheaper than Hilton. It is in the executive wing on the 25th floor (the building behind the one nearest to the beach) I don't have too many recommendations for Pattaya. If you need any for Bangkok I'm your man! Cheers!
