I just helped in my first ring recovery yesterday and I now know why you do it for free, what a feeling!! The feeling you get is incredible helping someone desperately trying to find a part of their life and history, they aren't just rings to some. Im glad I needed to get out and get some sun and exercise and stumbled across another person in need, and just happened to be able help them. I was able to locate her wedding ring in the area she was searching in under a minute, using my Nokta Simplex Ultra in the wet sand (freshwater). Keep the awesome vids coming Sean, you are inspiring others to do good things!

You probably already know this about earrings… if the post is gold, it’s usually gold. Fake gold earrings usually have a silver colored post (stainless). Just a quick way to tell if it’s real or fake.

Ok, The Nickels.... here's the skinny on the multitude of nickels. No doubt they came from lasts years fun in the sun games. Nancy's Nickel Night was a large success. Several inner tubes were strategically placed out in the water. The object was to pitch nickels in the center of the tubes. Those that hit the target won a prize. That wasn't as easy as it sounds though with waves moving the tubes. 😂 damn, that's not bad for someone who doesn't like liars.

I found a ring in the sand at my beach it was so exciting. I didn’t even have a metal detector I just saw it. I didn’t keep it though I put it back in the sand for someone else to find. AS to all the nickels, some one has pitched a roll out there for people with metal detectors to find! I do that at Gulf Shores whenever we are down there! I sometimes throw foreign coins also, all in fun!

I alternate between the XP Deus 2 and the Minelab Manticore. Both are awesome. There's a bunch of other good ones out there too. It mainly depends on the areas you're planning on hunting and what your budget is.
