Beach & town Tour of Nerja, Costa Del Sol, Spain - What's it like?
NERJA on Spain’s Costa Del Sol is the site of the famous Balcón de Europa, the “Balcony of Europe” - a viewpoint out across Nerja Beach to the Mediterranean Sea.
In this Virtual Vacation walking tour of NERJA, we explore the lanes full of shops and cafes, see a piece of the famous Cava de Nerja (Nerja caves) mounted like a statue on Calle Pintada, gaze out over the Balcony itself to enjoy the wide views and then head down to the secluded beach of Playa de Salón.
The Plaza by the Balcony of Europe itself is a great place to people watch as you drink coffee, listen to local musicians or just watch the local parakeets in the palm trees.

I was here on 9th October. It was sunny and warm, and breath taking. I know I will return. Next time I will walk around into the back allies. So much I missed after watching this video. We went straight to the balcony and stayed there for hours.

Living Walks Having one of those ' Wish I was there ' moments ! The best ever sardines were cooked in a tiny cafe near the beach , also most glorious crispy octopus I've tasted .....anywhere. The light is truly magical at the time of year your walk took place , can see it must be quite chilly as most folk are wearing warm clothing. Thank you for replying, take care and stay safe 💞

I am arriving in Nerja on 27th Feb 2019 on the hunt for a property to buy. Love the place, although it is getting expensive on the property side. I have spent many hours walking the streets and never tire of the changing people there.

My girlfriend went to stay in Frigliana with her family which apparently is near and would visit Nerja. She has been to Spain three times since we met. I am yer to see Spain. I am yet to see Europe. I have much to learn about it. I am amazed people wear coats in Spain. I didn't think Spain ever got cold ever. How cold can it get?

It's a lovely place to visit if you get the chance to go I'd recommend it for sure. @@LivingWalks Nerja was more of a village back then. A bit more rough around the edges, with farmland and walled in gardens all around. Now I'm not a beach dweller, so I'd hop on a bus to Malaga one day. And explore Granada the next. I had my fortune told by a gypsy there, and made some water colour sketches of the olive fields and snow capped mountains, seen from the Alhambra gardens. On returning back to Nerja it had gone dark, and the view of the small light clusters of mountain villages dotted around in the black, against a sapphire blue star studded night sky was unforgettable... I really miss that place ! 😍 Stay safe and well ! Love from Oslo 💖
