55 year old man here and started p90x again in July and still going strong. Tony created something so perfect it's hard to understand now. Back in the day people would have to go to gyms or buy expensive equipment to achieve these results. Tony made it simple and inexpensive to get in shape in your own house. It was revolutionary. Right after p90x, people started the CrossFit movement which is just p90x on steroids. Tony, you helped myself and so many other people... I love you brother.. you are one of my heroes. Thank you.

This episode made me emotional. Purchased the set back in 2010 maybe , and never went back to gym. Tony and his crew really changed my fitness level, workout discipline. Been doing the rest of BB and all kinds of KZbin all these years, but nothing really replaced the quality of the original P90x. Thank you, Tony , and the creators !

I probably done 20 cycles of this since I first got into the 2008. I haven’t been to the gym again since. I don’t know what it is but it’s just perfect for me. I think it’s like they said in this podcast, the mixture of humor while going really hard, that resonated with me. I like insanity but Shaun T going crazy like a drill sergeant entire time can be kinda offputting here and there lol

Thank you Tony Horton for changing lives and creating the greatest workout program ever. I went from 305lbs to 174lbs in 9 months. Beachbody isn’t what it used to be with these new programs they put out. 30 minutes or less stuff. They made a huge mistake of letting this man go.

P90 bootcamp and 10 minute trainer were my first beachbody program completed then, P 90 x was my first program completed with hubby. Jack LaLane was me and my Moms first trainer. I love this podcast. Tony Horton my favorite trainer. I am 61 and us young folks need routines for our age bracket. I am so glad this company is still thriving and running circles around other fitness companies.

I am 3 minutes into this and I can't even contain myself about how shocked and happy I am to even SEE Tony and Carl sitting together after how the breakup went down. I don't yet know what happens over the next 51 minutes but I've always said Beachbody is better with Tony and Tony is better with Beachbody. Lordy I hope this ends well. I love Tony and still love Beachbody- I know it's BODi and we belong to the platform and do the workouts. But for ME it's still Beachbody. That who got me hooked and whose Summitt we went to.

Same. I think I started with it in late 2008. Life changing. I did the original p90x by itself for like three or four cycles and then combined that with insanity when it came out in like 2009/2010 and I ended up going from like 330 pounds to 204 by early 2011. Then I stopped doing them and put on a lot of weight again in the mid 2010s and then dropped ANOTHER 75-80lbs by like 2018. Beachbody absolutely struck gold with those two programs

Nothing beats old school p90x! It wasn't catered to only beginners and it wasn't cater to people only looking to work out between 10 and 20 minutes. It was something that we had to put our mind to and focus on and boy did it show! And that diet plan was amazing, and let's not forget the fact that it was around the time that we had the old school orange recovery! It is absolutely my favorite program that Beachbody has!
@chiarosuburekeni93253 ай бұрын
I agree with all your points and it also didn’t have a lot of the gimmicks that the sequels introduced. You can tell that Beachbody made a lot of money off the first one and then they were trying to double down and get some more profits so they had things like the rumble roller and all the other stuff. it ended up cluttering the system. I’ll always do the first one over the others

I've had the program for 18 years...repurchased disks that I've worn out. Completed it twice and then done parts of it along with other work-outs. KenpoX is my favorite cardio. Still my go-to all.the.time. I also love XStretch and I actually found this video because today my XStretch dvd failed and I was desperately looking for a replacement. I'm now 60 and I'm going to go another round...a little differently but I'm going to do it again. Please digitize..I'll buy it all again. I love y'all, you changed how I look at workouts.

Now that I watched the full interview, what is missing is what I think Tony calls, "keep pushing play," a stickwithit phenomena like no other. Look, I started p90x to get conditioned for a Boy Scout high adventure trek in 2013 ... then I did p90x3 for 2.5 years nonstop (and later Sagi and Joel) ... other than saving me from certain heart failure or other fate, I have branched out to all sorts of physical activities, watch my diet, etc. My friends who have not done the program have not lasted like I have ... my advice is to find a Tony that excites you enough to keep coming back.

Wonderful trip down memory lane! You guys deserve to be proud of your P90X success! I love the P90X Core Synergistics workout. But I substitute "superman banana" for pullups. 15 years after I purchased P90X, I'm still following P90X workouts, along with other workouts.
