We had a Mac cart for years and it worked well. I got used to the packing methods. It rusted in a flood so see scrapped it, only to replace with an inferior brand from a big box store. We also have an upright cart with the smaller wheels. I think it’s a Rio from 10 years ago. In my experience, anything with the gray balloon wheels is the only real solution for soft sand.

I tried this idea a few years ago with a kind of improvised set of wheels from a D.I.Y store. In fairness it wasn't designed for a beach but the idea was the same. It was indeed a total disaster trying to walk over a golf course with single sandy footpaths & over grown prickly bushes in some places? I ended up giving it away to the owner of the camp site that I used to stay on. The 2 you have reviewed are obviously designed for the job at ✋️ hand. But if I was to choose one it would definitely be the pump up wheel buggy 😂🪁🎊🥎 great review though 👍 👌

I’m no professional engineer but I don’t understand why in this day and age that anyone would design then make a rugged terrain cart with such a narrow wheel base as the ones that fell over!

@@markchandler001 for me having to assemble and reassemble is a no go. The beach wagon does really well at most beaches but you have to go slow. When im dragging more than my body weight across the sand going slow is not a problem. It folds and unfolds instantly and has served me so well I gave my old one to a friend and got the new version with the built on table. Old one made it almost 10 years with me. New one is the same quality to expect it to last just as long.

We have the RIO Wonder Wheeler cart and really like it. It looks like they've improved the tote bag with it and I've seen a conversion kit to change out the wheels to the balloon wheels. I would definitely purchase the Wonder Wheeler again. You've got a great channel. Getting alot of ideas for beach gear.

Where can you get the conversion kit? That sounds like the perfect solution! I saw a place that sells the WW with balloon wheels but charges $100 more for it. Maybe I’m wrong, but that seems like a lot.

I’ve got the heavy steel bote mule cart. Added custom racks it weighs a ton two people pull often but it’s a beast!

I'll be dragging my Mac beach wagon on to Sanibel Island today. It's like pulling a corpse on the sand (don't ask me how I know). I'm usually out of breath by the time we reach our spot. Gotta buy the Crestwalker. And you are correct, ignore their advice to load heavier items in the rear. When I do that, the front wheels are usually off the ground when pulling.

I'm looking at two 2-wheel carts right now, both with balloon tires. Any reviews or comparative info on "My Beach Cart" vs "Wheeleez?" Both in the $300 range. Need to easily go over soft stand and also be able to wheel a few blocks on sidewalks and go down beach steps without destroying the tires. Thanks!

I had the OG Wonder Wheeler for 10+ years and it was amazing. Had to get rid of it a few years ago when we moved overseas. Have since moved back and miss it so much. Wondering if the newer ones will live up to their predecessor, especially since RIO brands is under new management. I’m not so sure about the plastic tires. I liked my old narrower rubber ones. Then I saw this video and the Crestwalker looks great but it’s nowhere to be found! Out of stock on Amazon, Wayfair, even EBay, and there’s no company website to be found. Any idea what happened to them since last summer?

The Crestwalker beach carts were available in March. I'm not sure what happened. Hopefully, they'll be back soon. I've been told by a subscriber that the Rio Wonder Wheelers are slightly different but still good.

Any experience with using those steel garden carts from the hardware stores? Most of them have larger, infaltable rubber wheels. Feels like they might do the trick for softer sand, though they’re probably a bit heavier and not as convenient from weight, etc.

I haven't tried Wheeleez, but I've only heard good things about them. I think it's great that they make all-terrain wheelchairs for the beach. I primarily frequent beaches in Cape Cod Bay.

We have a seykey beach cart with all terrain wheels and while I like it a lot, it's very difficult to pull through soft sand when it's full. It basically just sinks into the sand and the wheels don't actually roll. I end up just dragging it through

That sounds like a workout! But you can haul more gear in your Seykey than I can in my MacSports beach wagon, and I'm sure your beach wagon hasn't tipped over on you.

I have had two beach wagons. Gave my old one to a friend after nearly a decade bc I upgraded to the one with the built in table. I'm a smallish woman so for me once I load up that beast it's so heavy I have no choice but to go slow. I have yet to have the tipping issue you showed but I also have a Rio backpack chair so my heavy laod is never high. I do wish it came with some sort of side straps to haul long umbrellas on each side bc otherwise you have the umbrella sticking up at an angle. The wagon is extremely useful for hauling firewood for beach bonfires. And I've found my dogs love to dig themselves under the shade it creates.

The Crestwalker in this video is great but it’s pricey. The Rio Wonder Wheeler beach cart, also in this video, is a good beach cart and it’s a good value.

I know they’re expensive but I’d love to see you review a big kahuna cart and a phoenix beach buggy cart. Love the content and trust your reviews. I’m torn between the two and haven’t found any thorough reviews. For reference I beach on soft sand multiple times a week from may - October, weather permitting, with kids. Hence the need to max capacity

I've had my eye on the beach cart sold by this company: www.glampinlife.com/. It's pricy but not as expensive. I don't know if it would fit in the trunk of a car, but I dig the beach chair rack.

I immediately looked it up and was happy with the cheaper price then the two alternatives I’ve been eyeing. Later in the day when it was being wheeled off the beach I asked the guy how or liked it and got a rather short response, “it’s too damn small!” That just about out an end to my research on that product
