This song name is last ride by beach house This speech is for my mother's funeral 6/27/20 I've always loved beach house since I was 12. I always shared your music with her, and she thought it was beautiful. Thank you beach house for always being apart of my life and part of hers. I will use this song in the back ground as I say the following speech for her: LaTonya shanel Mitchell The mother, godmother, daughter, aunt, cousin, neice, and friend. The protector, the healer, the warrior, and the gifted She's loyal, she's selfless, she's wise, she's unbelievably resilient, she's a independent woman, Oh and she's beautiful like you could have never believed She'll be your rock no matter what storm you're in Or what the weather is like over there She'll be with you through it all She had the ability to fight with you even when she was fighting her own battles She'll bounce back, rise up, and give her all once more Wherever LaTonya was Home was there Home was never a place it was always a feeling LaTonya was home She was such a beautiful human being She understood the person I am Never judged me She let me be my true self and never molded me into someone I wasn't She knew who Zaria was and she loved her The only person I would talk to The only person I would ever open up to and enjoy deep conversations with Everyone else would just think I was crazy The more deep conversations I had with my mother the more I realized that we are alike and not just those strong genes It was how beautiful her mind was I'm different and she was different with me Latonya's an angel today So fly high momma We're going to be okay

Zaria, this is so heartfelt and beautiful. I have tears from your words of the passing of such meaningful connection, understanding, appreciation between you and your mother; the love deepening insight between your minds. And to have Beach House be a shared presence through the years, an "unknown friend." ..."So fly high momma. We're going to be okay." ...."Dreams, baby, do come true."

This song doesn't just remind me just of one thing, but of every person who has been in my life that for some reason is no longer in it. It reminds me of everything I felt and how intense those feelings were. Every loss. Those people were for me in that moment in time, and now they are again strangers. We had our last ride even if we weren't aware of it, how cruel :) Here's to enjoying the ride while were in it :)
@kevinromero17464 жыл бұрын
this song reminds me of when me & my ex got into an argument that ultimately ended our relationship, it’s was late at night on the highway where we let out all our emotions and frustrations with each other. Both broken hearted and exhausted with each other. That night we liberated ourselves from ourselves. It was our last ride.
