With a huge tray like that, are you unable to tap out air bubbles? I was just curious about the cocoa powder too...it's regular cocoa powder that's typically used for baking? I'm not a soap maker, I just like watching the artistry and creativity.
@petalsbathboutique9 жыл бұрын
+beautymarkgirlkik You know, air bubbles have never been an issue for me. It may be because I soap at a lighter trace the most. Yes, it's just regular Hershey's cocoa powder. I love it because it makes the most amazing brown and I swear it enhances the natural cocoa-y sweetness to the butters and milk in the finished soap. Thanks for watching!!

Interesting. Thank you for the explanation! :-)

Stella Starr I know. It really was more than I could handle. There was a huge spill, I just cut that part out of the video, lol. I lost more than 2 lbs of soap on the counter, floor and all over myself. My husband poured a whole bottle of vinegar on me. It was a mess. I'm frantically trying to save the SOAP and he's stripping me down frantically trying to save my SKIN!! But all ended well :0)

Beautiful wispy swirls.did you refridgerate your soap to retain light color! Also, I just ordered an HDPE mold. Was told its a no liner mold, but I see you did. Is that necessary? Your soaps are beautiful! thanks for sharing!
@petalsbathboutique9 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I did not refrigerate this. I soap at room temperature to avoid overheating. You don't need a liner for HDPE molds except for the silicone mat that comes with it for the bottom of the mold. I ruined my mat and now have to use freezer paper.

Does the cocoa smell come through at all?
@petalsbathboutique7 жыл бұрын
In this particular soap, it does (to my nose). The natural cocoa-y scent is also supported with cocoa butter, and 3 different milks. It's doesn't smell like chocolate per se, but does have a natural scent that is definitely different from my other fragrance free natural soaps.
