Shout out to Matt @IronTrapGarage. This old video is still helping folks. I bought that set of dies when I purchased my Eastwool bead roller and am going to be using the round tipping die for the first time on a floorboard patch. Now I'm glad I bought them when I did.

Also just received Eastwood’s dimple die set for floorboard mountain bolts on a 66 Ford F-350 plus a new Shrinker stretcher, whenever the company I work for needs tool I have them go to Eastwood. Mainly because I follow your website. Iron Trap Garage.

Great presentation, Matt. Only thing missing was a straight on profile (end) view of shapes.

I have one of these bead rollers at work, and the complete die kit. My biggest complaint is, the foot pedal must have been made for small feet, not a size 11 and steel toe boot at that. The pedal is all over the floor and my foot barely catches the edge of the pedal. But I deal with it LOL

Nice video Matt. I have the 8" manual bead roller with the forming die set. You've given me some great ideas to forming replacement panels to replace some rusted panels on our minivan.

Hey. nice video. question is there dies to form the profiles to the load bed to a VW T3 Single Cab year 1982. I can`t order the original parts for my car. I've seen some dies on the channel from Bad Chad, where he is forming the floor panel to a Buick with the same profile as I need. .Greetings:HCS

Why not put the forming die kit in a plastic case instead of a cardboard box?

I’m noticing the end of the runs seem to go crooked. Is this a fault of the roller with certain dies ?
@Joe.Doucette4 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. I believe it's just because Matt is going quickly enough to get something to demonstrate and carry on to the next set of dies to show. I don't have Eastwood's dies and I can make this happen if I rush or don't plan. Also... pre-stretching with an English Wheel helps with less deformation of the metal. If you don't know what I mean take a few minutes searching the net for "pre-stretch metal with english wheel before bead rolling" .
