24 gauge half-round dead-soft wire(just keep it on the spool and use as needed).
1 cabochon, mine is a teardrop Sunstone, about 15mm tall

Very nice! I have a question: Wouldn’t it be better to manipulate the bottom (back) wires to ‘lock in’ the stone, before you bend them at the bail? Same with the front wires, before you you bend the bail wires?

You can definitely give that a try and see if it works for you. For me, the issue I run into is moving those wires can sometimes also move the bail wires if they are not wrapped around and locked in place.

I absolutely love this! I do have a question, though. You use seamed beads, although they appear smooth (not with a visible seam). So this may sound dumb, but what is the difference between seamed beads and smooth beads if they both appear smooth? Thank you!

I don't usually notice the seams on them, but if one gets smooshed accidentally that's when I have seen the seam on these so I know they are definitely seamed beads. I think maybe if you examine super closely sometimes you might notice the seam on some, but you can just turn it so it is facing the back.
