How much would something like this typically cost?
@sincerelys47365 жыл бұрын
I was quote $1200 for 18-20in hair. That included install, color, and cut
@DebVargas5 жыл бұрын
Yes so the cost of hair typically varies client to client. (Their length and thickness & desired length & thickness will determine how much hair is needed.) I typically tell my clients to plan on a budget for the first initial install all in of about $1000-$1200. About $600-$700 of that could be just to purchase the hair and then I charge $75 per row to install. Typically clients get 2-3 rows and then if they want to color their hair that would be another expense. Hope that helps!

@@sincerelys4736 I’m a hair stylist in New York City $1200 is a lot
@dnllmaurer13 жыл бұрын
@@mildredrivera7382 It's a lot for natural hair services like color & cut but not for quality hair extensions. 80-100 grams of 18-20" is the majority of the expense at $500-$700. Also depends if it's machine made or hand tied. Machine made is less expensive than hand tied but the seam is thicker & it's more noticeable. Lighter colors are generally more expensive than dark. There's a big difference in how hair is processed, lots to learn about hair products & the various methods to install.

Thank you so much for watching! That's awesome that you're using a friend to practice! I really like JZ Styles Hair and Laced Hair as well as Bohyme LUXE. To be honest, for me I don't look for the cheapest hair when I am looking for what to provide my clients. In my opinion as someone who not only offers extensions but wears them. Luxury, great quality hair is not cheap. But just like anything you get what you pay for and extensions is definitely an investment. I personally would prefer to pay a little extra and have my hair last longer.

Hi Deb loved your video extremely helpful. When you are sewing the weft onto the hair is it also going through the bead? Or, it's only going around the connecting hair (between the 2 beads)? Also, I have seen another method where some stylist use thread instead of connecting hair. What's the difference in using these 2 different methods? Is it based off of the client's hair density? .... Thank you for all of your help!

Love the video.. have you noticed any hair loss after the extensions?
@DebVargas5 жыл бұрын
I personally have not noticed any hairloss that is caused because of the method. Like I explained in the video at every "move-up" appointment I remove the weft and brush out the "natural shed" . Most people have around 100,000 hairs on their head & so it is normal to lose around 100-125 hairs per day. Because of that after 6 weeks there is a bit of natural shed that is brushed out but its not attributed to the method if that makes sense! Great question though! I hope that helped and thank you for watching!

Question what about someone with shorter hair do you add another row of hair under the occ bone ?
@DebVargas5 жыл бұрын
Depending on their desired length & thickness versus the length & thickness they currently have will determine how many "rows" you have to do for it to blend. I usually do 2-3 rows on my clients but for this client like I stated in the video she was only looking for added thickness NOT length so that's why we only did 1 row. Hope that helps!
