Beaded Hair Barrette Tutorial #2

Materials needed:
3ft. of .010 beading wire if you are using square beads
4ft. of .010 beading wire if you are using rectangle beads
3in. Hair Barrette - Can be found at any craft store even Walmart
10mm up to 12mm flat square beads or rectangles
11/0 or 10/0 seed beads
2 - #1 Crimps
4mm bicones crystals (Optional)
Tweezers (Optional)
Chain nose pliers

Tip: If you are using beads with larger holes and you don't have .010 beading wire you can use a thicker wire.
Tip: How many square beads will you need?
7 - 12mm beads for 3in. barrette
8 - 10mm beads for 3in. barrette

Love the barrette and yes I also would love to see more I really like the bigger beads I have bought many and have been wondering what to do with them I'm sure you have see the clear with blue. Love to see more. I also went wild the Trio rounds can you believe I don't see many bracelets or necklaces so I'm hoping you will do the 2-hole round and Trio rounds. No pressure at all lol just joking it is what they say no pressure just make more :) You are very great at what you bead you sound young and smart not showing your face you would have to have mob control as I say to my daughter.

I really love this and I have made 3 so far but I am having the darndest time going back through all those seed beads. My wire bends in half then I can't push easily it through because of the bend, it takes me forever! And even though I pull it tight all the way through when I;m done it has gaps between the square beads. Am I just not cut out for this or do I just need to practice more....? Help!

can you use fireline thread for this project?

+TheBeadingFeet The metal barrette is too sharp it will cut any thread even monofilament fishing line. The best material to use is nylon coated stainless steel beading wire.
