My gosh...what difference does it make to the principle.? Let her wear it. The school said it was ok. The principal is the one that had a problem with it. I thought it looked cool.

That was not right. I think there is a communication problem with the principle and teachers the principle should have emailed the teachers that he had approved the graduation cap. Because they asked if it would be permissible. And it was given. This is supposed to be a celebration of an accomplishment of this young Lady who well deserved this special day. I feel it was unprofessional of these supposed to be professional teachers. You can't fight ignorance.

What are you apologizing for? This thinking is exactly what is wrong with society. You have absolutely nothing to apologize for because you are white unless you specifically did something wrong. Appears the MSM brainwashing is working to make you feel ashamed for the color you were born. Give me a break dude.

IMO, that is straight up discrimination. This particular issue is not big enough for a lawsuit...but something should be done for sure.....make that idiot school accountable for such blatant discrimination.

@@user-no5ho1xc9e yes they do but this has nothing to do with indigenous lives its a single person who happens to be indigenous there is a major difference personally I believe it is a formal ceremony and no alterations should be made but at the same time if I was the teacher or principal I wouldn't have made an issue of it and would have let it happen because I don't believe in forcing my views on other people I might state it and let them make their own informed decisions

That is BS! I can see really messing the cap up, like I've seen at college graduations, but come on! This is HER heritage and she's proud of it. If the school says yes, then changes their mind and decides " no we can't have that " then make that clear BEFORE the student goes through with getting the cap looking presentable. She was a great example of how to accept the bad news. Good luck, my lady, in your life. I salute you. 🦅🤦‍♂️

@@herewego8586 correct! They did the same thing to me during my graduation ceremony. I wanted to sport similar attire symbolizing my Apache ancestry and heritage but a liberal teacher of mine said I wasn’t allowed to wear that because of “policy” even though we got the green light from the assistant principal. LAUSD is a complete joke, followed by the bureaucrats running the state.

Nothing new in Indian Country. Those feathers were a gift from a family member who gave it to her in honor of her graduation. Those at that school didn't respect her or our heritage and broke promises thru paper and words that don't mean a thing. I would've worn it reguardless of what they said or thought.
