Hello Gina, I thank you for this tutorial. I did watch an older video you did on floating necklaces with this type of chain. I ordered everything back then and now have everything I need to make these necklaces.. I finished this tutorial and love the results. I separated the three crystals by a couple cm, and it still looks great. I wish you had a FB page so that we could share our completions from your tutorials. You're a great teacher Gina. Thank you for the time you put into these videos for us all. Lorena

Thanks for your great tutorial. I discovered bead chain a few months ago, I’ve got gold coloured, silver and antique bronze. I’ve made several necklaces and I love the way the metal is visible through the beads. Thanks for showing different ways of securing the ends. I use the clam shells and crimp beads, and it took a lot of practice to get it right. I’m going to try the crimp tube ends because they look simpler and prettier. Thanks again😊.

Dear Gina, hi, I have a question to ask: I've been looking everywhere for those great crimp tubes with the loops on the end of them. A friend of mine wants me to make her a necklace out of snake chain/beading chain with a crystal drop hanging from it. I bought some of the chain already, so I just need the tubes. What should the inside diameter of the tubes be, to fit over the chain? Thank you so much Gina, love from Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️
@GGCBeginningbeaders2 жыл бұрын
Hi, The ideal inner diameter would be 1mm, you can go slightly above that, maybe up to 1.5mm, any larger than that is just too big. These little tubes are very hard to find. Try Firemountaingems.com, probably be your best bet. I think they ship internationally.

@@GGCBeginningbeaders Thank you so much Gina, I found the crimpable cord ends, as they're called here in Australia! Luckily I found a shop here that sells them, which made the delivery charge a lot less painful 😅!! What is the diameter of your beading chain Gina? I'm asking because I've noticed that there's chain in different diameters available. The type I've got is 0.75mm in thickness, but does it come in other thicknesses, like 0.5mm? Thanks again Gina for your help. Yours Amanda in Melbourne, Australia ❤️

You can buy tarnish resistance clasps, but most eventually tarnish. Most people know, or I hope they know, they can use tarnish removal cloths. How do I appropriately size the loop crimps, crimp beads and clam shell covers to the chain diameter?
@GGCBeginningbeaders2 жыл бұрын
If you are using .6 beading chain, I tell you all the sizes of everything to use in the video. If you are using bigger chain then just but crimp end with an inner diameter not more than .5mm bigger. With clam shell cover and crimp tubes buy multiple size packages and try them until you find what fits best, then you will get a feel for sizes and types of components that will work for you. Unfortunately, there is no pre-set or made for each other components for jewelry making products of this sort. It just takes experimentation and creativity. But, it’s not as difficult as it sounds. ❤️

I am having A huge issue getting the chain to stay in the crimp. I have a snake chain and the ends but when I crimp it the chain constantly slips out. Any tips ?
