Thx Onesto, really impressed and i will definitely get a copy for myself today. I just hope that when you are sponsored by brands like this you are allowed, and you allow yourself to point the imperfections of the plugin too But thank you for presenting us what seems like a quality plugin like this

Thanks for bringing this up. It’s something that I’ve been thinking about a lot more these days. The cool thing is that more brands are contacting me, almost every week. But I want to make sure that these my videos alway keep the audience in mind. To do there’s three things I do to make sure these videos remain honest and helpful to viewers. 1. I only talk about plugins that I think are good. If there’s glaring issues with a plugin, I won’t even talk about it. This means saying no to some offers. Doing this also means that I don’t have to spend time bringing up the negatives. Beam for instance is a really good plugin. I have really nit-picky things that I can bring up, for example I think some of the controls are too small on the interface. But that’s boring to talk about. So this lets me talk about the positives, but I understand that only saying good things about a product can seem inauthentic. So that brings me to my next thing. 2. I don’t use hyped up language. I may have done this in the past and that sucks, but I now avoid using words like “game-changing” “forever changed” and other forms of hyperbole and superlatives. These are plugins we’re mostly talking about. They’re fun music tools, not life-changing advances. I like to keep the language in my video level-headed. Straight-forward. And how humans talk in the real world, not in KZbin land. I might have to get a little flashy in my titles and thumbnails, but even then, I try to stay far away from language that just reeks of exaggeration. 3. Lastly, since these plugins are so great, I like to let them speak for themselves as much as possible. That means loading videos heavy with demos and presets. I try to just be a voice that points to what’s cool. i used to make these videos feel like a walkthrough, but everyone makes those and they bore me. Instead, I try to be like a friend you sat down with who wants to chat about this cool plugin they found. Also I believe my audience is smart. So I trust that they’ll see what I see once I point it out. I’ll give my opinion, hopefully it’s insightful, but I try not to be too pushy or preachy with it. Anyways, I hope this helps. I try really hard not to be a shill. But I also try really hard to bring in a paycheck since this is my full-time gig. I got a little baby boy to feed and keep happy.

@@ThisIsOnesto thank you so much for your detailed answer. I’m reassured that you pondered so much over it. Everyone can see that this plugin looks very good, but just being sure that you really like the plugin and you don’t force yourself to sell it is good to know thanks. There are no problems doing such sponsoring, you show us some cool new plugins with your unique perspective, and if we like it we can buy those. It’s win-win, the only thing that matters is if you truly believe in the plugin or not, but you answered those concerns so thank you ! Maybe add a little disclaimer in the description of your next sponsored videos; summarizing what you answered me, I think it may be useful for some people too. Thanks so much Onesto, have a great day!!

The disclaimer is such a great idea. I'll go ahead and write a more concise version of what I shared here. Thanks for the feedback!

@@fyhr__ Hey I finally included that disclaimer we were talking about. Thanks for the suggestion. I'll be including in videos moving forward. It feels right, and hopefully it helps communicate my intentions.

@@ThisIsOnestoyep, It seems well done. Seeing this, if I put myself in the place of another viewer, I can trust you more because I can see that you put some thoughts on it and that you try to maintain some good ethics, which is something that 90% of other KZbinrs aren’t doing. Glad that I could help improve (a little bit) the channel!

It really is. And Lunacy Audio are developing more nodes, so Beam is going to be crazy.

@@ThisIsOnesto That's amazing! One of the things I loved about the video is that you showed some presets before describing the technical details of the VST, usually people talk about it first then show the sound in the end, which defeats the purpose for most people because they're there to listen to what it can do! Solid job my man, looking forward to more!

@railpressureflip Thanks for pointing that out. I think of YT videos like pop songs, we want to hear the chorus/hook ASAP, so I try to get to the product’s results as fast as I can. Glad the video structure is working out for you!

@@ThisIsOnesto Spot on, that's pretty much it! I thought its obvious for other creators too but I understand how / why they'd get lost in making their videos and not put the viewers first. Good stuff!

Seems similar to rezonator and chroma by paper skies

Chroma is so cool. I'm not familiar with Rezonator though. Just looked it up, it seems great. What I'm liking about Beam is that it's a different take on an Effects Rack. It makes parallel processing easy and understandable, even for a sound design amateur like me.
