I think I remember that steam shovel book you're talking about. Funny, whenever I see a picture of that old-school steam shovel thing I always thought of that book as well. I seem to recall that it was in a race with another newer digger and Doug gets holes so fast FedEx dug itself into a hole and couldn't get out? And then became the heater for the school or something like that? Good kids book. Wow that was an old memory thank you. And that artifact was in really good shape it looked like.

I thought of that book as soon as you cleaned off the item. That was my favorite book as a little kid too.

In comparison to the other machines you’ve had since starting metal detecting where does your Equinox fall? Been seriously considering a 600 just haven’t committed yet.love the videos, keep them coming.

Ewww that water is gross 😝 congrats on the Mercs!! You just never know what's going to come out when those numbers look good and the sound is pretty too.

I know what you mean about live digs and deleting all those clips. That pendant probably had a gold coin in it😁

Definitely a cool fob and that book was one of my favorites also. Add the Two Mercury's and a Roosevelt with the Fob and Guide and you had an amazing hunt. I thought I had a silver Washington the other day, I was wrong also. I turned out to be an 1876s Seated Quarter. Definitely my best silver coin dug this year and I wasn't detecting for coins and relics. Was helping a friend with property markers lol. Thanks for sharing another great episode. I enjoyed all of it. Good luck, happy hunting and take care.
