Hello, first I would like to say I like you channel and appreciate the work you guys do. Thanks. This being said, i don't think this was a fair review of this product. I bought this OXO little over 6 months, and i find it work great. As for the static, wait 20 seconds after the grind and there is almost none left for this little you have seen here. This grinder is almost half price 110- 120 VS the Baratza 200 in Canada. I would have liked to see some grind comparison and, in my opinions is the best way to see if a grinder is worth it. I am a coffee fan using plenty of gadgets ( CLEVER, Aeropress, V60, regular coffee maker ect) and this grinder makes a good job overall in terms of consistency. I would like to see part 2 here to compare the grind. Thanks again for the work ! Still a fan here can't wait the next video.

I agree. Two grind samples is not enough to do a fair comparison on consistency. Then they guess that the Oxo will last five years. Plus I’m not putting that ugly Baratza on my counter. It looks cheap and plastic. For the price, the Oxo performs wonderful, is easy to clean, has no static, has been very consistent for two years of ownership and looks great on my counter.

I don't know why they are assuming one lasts longer than the other. Is it just because of the price range? Or maybe the weight? I also disliked the review cuz aside the fact he is strongly biased towards the Encore without showing any evidence why it's better, it is also much focused on the experiment of the timer feature, whereas I believe the output ground coffee consistency is something more important to review. Obs: I don't have any grinders, just searching for a good budget one yet

One miss testing timer...if you pulled a 3rd grind after the burr was primed with beans. It probably would have been with 0.1 get instead of 0.4. Just an observation.

I've been using the Encore now for about 8 years. For the last two or three years its gotten slower and slower. I've taken it apart several times, cleaning it, but haven't been able to fix that problem. It lacks a lot of the features that the cheaper Oxo grinder has going for it. So, well, you sold me on the Oxo.

Agree with some of the reviews here... Long and lengthy with little proof. .4 oz and you're complaining? Did you prove consistency with the other you're in love with ? No. That could be as little as 1 bean of coffee. I have bought Oxo products and everyone of them are still in good working order after almost 20 years. 👎review

I have the OXO grinder. The number one defect in design is the catch cup latch. It has a nub that is supposed to snap over the lid to retain the cup while grinding. It really doesn't work. I missed that in the reviews before I bought it. You must watch or hold the cup in during grinding or it will move out. I haven't really had a big spill but it's very irritating and they could correct it with a different lid or contact point. So, this almost ruins an otherwise good cheap grinder. The other problem is retention. He shows in the demo that there is no fallout after grinding. He also didn't weigh the coffee to see how much is retained. Or tip it forward. It's enough to make a small mess if you were to move the grinder around and tilt it. So, when I grind my beans, I only put in what I need by weight, set the timer for more than I think, and then hold the cup and cradle the grinder and tilt forward and spank it to get all the grinds to fall out. I am going to move up to a significantly more advanced grinder in the near future but this unit for the price, is probably as good as it gets for $99. Also, the catch cup is pretty good at keeping static to a minimum. I have had 2 Cuisinart grinders and they are messy and loud. This one is much better.

This video is fair and I tend to agree. However, we got the Oxo during Prime Days for $80. Then the price permanently became $80. So, at $16 a year for both, we preferred to pay the $80 upfront vs. $160. Then again, as the host said, we're at the beginning of the burr-grinder-let's-up-our-coffee-game curve. ;-)

I just got my OXO grinder but haven't used it yet. My question is I brew coffee in a glass drip coffee maker over the stove, will I still get the same results as I would in an automatic coffee machine?

As always, love your videos and information. I have an old Krups burr grinder. It has seen better years so I'm looking for a new model. I hate spending 100-200 dollars for one :(

I had the old one from OXO that weighed the grounds. It worked well for about 8 years. I’m ready for an upgrade…. What do you suggest? My methods of brewing are either my Technivorm Moccamaster or my Chemex.

This probably showed up in my feed b/c i just bought an OXO. Save your time, don't watch it. I had to put the speed at 1.75X after 30 seconds. I watched the whole thing just to make sure my review was fair. And that yours was as well, but i thought your review wasn't fair. I see from the comments that I'm not alone.

Had a Baratza that lasted 3 months. Have had my OXO for five years now. Also…your noise test is bias. You ran the noise test with the OXO empty…while the Baratza had beans in it. My OXO is quieter than the Baratza when actually grinding beans.

When weighing the output, no consideration was given to the residual left from your first grind. For me this was not a good review. Mostly it was a review praising the other unit. I'll keep investigating because your review did not show grind quality or anything else but your preference for the other grinder. Time to watch someone giving a comprehensive review.

Poor review. To compare a Land Rover to a Jeep. Both great vehicles but the average person can't always afford a Land Rover. They both made a great pot of coffee. The average person would not be able to tell one cup from the other.

Definitely a biased review, you tested the noise level and sound with beans in the one and none in the OXO. Second you didn’t prime the OXO with beans before the weight test.

Bought the OXO on Amazon and it didn't work. Absolutely dead. Amazon wouldn't take it back and OXO sent me back to Amazon. And if you get Amazon on the phone..that computer guy is horrific. Nightmare. At least I have a stainless steal cup!!

I guess I’m just saying you’re content is boring the editing leaves much to be desired you don’t seem to have any skills in regard to the topic.
