If she had a 100 of them, that's probably $100-$800. Unless they're worth less than $1. I never had a Beanie Baby. I was in late elementary school through middle school and got so tired of hearing other girls talk about them that I wanted nothing to do with them. My brother used points from this reading program that our school had to cash in at the reading program "store" to get a Princess Diana Beanie Baby that he just knew was going to make him rich one day. I think it got donated to Goodwill once he was in high school. Maybe it went to a younger cousin. IDK. Don't get me wrong, they were cute, but I liked stuffed animals I could hug. I had a Coca-Cola polar bear cub that I loved so much. Carried him on family trips. He was awesome. Still have him. Not a Beanie Baby. He was big enough to hug.

I remember they came out when I was in 3rd or 4th grade but I didn't really know of them until around 5th grade. Some girls in my school were obsessed with them. I was one of the few girls that never bought one. One girl would go every weekend to multiple stores with her mom looking for them. I collect things, so I understand why people got obsessed (but you offer me $100K for anything in any of my collections, and it's yours). But I've always kinda been "blah" about popular things. I didn't like the pop music (NSync, Britney Spears, Spice Girls) that the other girls liked. I didn't like to read the contemporary novels that were popular when I was in middle school (I read the classics, and historical fiction - I was really into Ann Rinaldi's books as a middle schooler). I was so sick of hearing about "Titanic." I'll admit i had a crush on Jonathan Taylor Thomas like a lot of girls my age, but I wasn't into Devon Sawa, Leonardo Dicaprio, there was another one that I thought looked just like Devon Sawa. Can't remember his name. Those were the teen guys that the teen girls had the crushes on at that time period. But I wasn't into reading the teen mags. I have no idea what Jonathan Taylor Thomas even looks like now. I got tired of hearing about "Clueless." I didn't watch "Beverly Hills 90210." Never had a Skip-It. I preferred a regular jump rope (and I actually liked to jump rope backward where the rope is swung over your head toward your back instead of over your head toward your front. Give me a jump rope right now, and that's still the way I would probably do it. Weird since you can't see the rope when doing it that way). I did get into Pogs, but I didn't have a lot of them. I only had 1 metal slammer. I didn't do the soda tab thing where the girls painted the soda tabs with nail polish and made jewelry from them. I had a Giga Pet instead of a Tamagotchi. And I got sick of it after a week and took the battery out. Some kids (boys and girls) would bring them to school and get in trouble. Not me. That thing was too annoying. Furby was fun for a while, but got old quick. I didn't do the fashion trends. But I was made fun of for wearing leggings all throughout middle school (most were denim print). Who knew that I was decades ahead of the fashion? They were hard to find too. They were comfortable and kept my legs warm. I switched to jeans in high school just to stop the teasing. Anyway, memories stirred up.
