As "Venus the Meanest", Arlene Harris does her "Chatterbox" routine- that she was famous for performing on Al Pearce's radio show in the '30s and early '40s.

Saw a couple episodes, so great.

I love how the technically advanced aliens are using 1940s telephones 🤣

I believe the actress who did that robot voice was Arlene Harris reprising her radio comedy character. She appeared as herself on a Dick Van Dyke Show episode about old time radio comedians. ☺

This episode feels more focused on the robots rather than Cecil, but I say it works out well

The mom robot reminded me of my favorite aunt, Janet, your typical 1960's American mom. Same type of speaking style, and she loved chatting on the phone. She'd suddenly interrupt her conversation to scold her kids: "Hey, get outta that cookie jar! I see you - I've got eyes on the back of my head!"

Dennis the Menace? lol, these classic cartoons are better than today 's. The Regular Show is the only exception.

Those were so creative and entertaining on a micro-budget.
@ricardocantoral767210 ай бұрын
Given the quality of the animation, I would say the budget of these cartoons were higher than average. Low budget was basically moving illustrations.
@vitus.verdegast10 ай бұрын
@@ricardocantoral7672 Compared to the budgets Clampett had at Warner Bros. In the '40s, Beany & Cecil was cheaply and quickly made, but with a talented, experienced and expert crew.

Thanks, Birdsofprey 1956. It was a very good year. In terms of Snorky, it is something we will put up eventually but we have other things we plan to put up first. Thanks for putting in your request, we will keep your suggestion in mind.

It’s no coincidence. Bob Clampett mentored John K. toward the end of Bob’s life. Clampett was John’s biggest influence.
