I really wish he'd joined United before this game. I'm glad to get him and I've no problem with wanting to respect Sporting but he's now in a position where he has to win or draw against City tomorrow. If he loses, the knives will be out. The more reasonable among you will point out that this game isn't a Manchester United game and that Sporting and City play at two different levels of football and whatever happens has nothing to do with with how his United career will go. But you know what the British media are like. If he loses, it won't matter that it's for Sporting, not United. There will be trash headlines about how he isn't good enough, pundits dropping little comments about maybe it's too big for him, the anti-United brigade will give themselves an excuse to after him before he's even managed a game for the club.
