Mainoo is our best midfielder currently, alongside ugarte it’s seems to be working. I would be more concerned about Erickson and Casemiro. They need to go! And replace them with another midfielder to possibly partner mount if he can stay fit. Personally I feel mount needs to go in the summer, wages are too high and the lad is always injured! It’s a shame, i was excited about him when we signed it. Chelsea did us dirty on that one 😂

No young player in manutd deserve 100k a week. Take example of Liverpool. That team which won Epl, champions league. Now that is the club that deserves a good pay for players who play in it regardless of age. Those are proven young players. Now mainoo is a good player but he does not deserve any higher pay than 100k a week unless he's doing it for years at least a couple in a row and keeps it solid. Like every match. And does it in big games. Just because manutd does not have good quality players in that position doesn't mean manutd can't sign another young player capable in that position. That's why there must be competition for all starting players in manutd. Not even bruno should be safe, nor hojlund nor any defenders, midfielders or wingers. Or even goal keepers unless they prove themselves in 2-3 years and stay consistent at that level. Manutd does not have that. That's why they are trying to bargain for more. It should not be the case. Comfort is where progress falls in any player. We cant have that. We don't want another rashford or sancho as the club. Like it or not, Liverpool is way better in this regard on keeping clubs manners and what they want out of the player. Manutd been only buying top players for quick fix or just hope they will turn out to be another Eric cantona or Messi or Ronaldo. But they don't because they dont have work ethic anymore. Get paid good money, job done.
