Nate, please do a video on these bows and their speed. Bow companies need to be held accountable for their speed ratings. I'm not believing the Surpass has a speed of 340. Most of the speed ratings are off 15 and 20 fps. Companies need to be held accountable!!

I just bought my Alaskan XT. I am so, so pleased with it. It was really tough to decide among the Adapt Plus, Whitetail Maxx, and even the Resurgence was an option. All of these bows are fantastic options at very, very reasonable prices. Thank you for good coverage.

In shop and shot the whitetail maxx and Alaskan xt. I was sold on he maxx before shooting because I do a lot of ground hunting but in person the extra 2” doesn’t really make a huge difference and the Alaskan shot so smooth compared to the maxx.

Bear makes the Blackout brand for Cabela's and Bass Pro Shop. I bought one - $530. The bottom cam was leaning so much that I NEVER got the bow to shoot a bullet. Bear Bows should be ashamed.

Which system do you think is better for a guy that doesn’t tinker with his bows. Hunt hard 4 days a week but I don’t tune my own bows. What’s better the binary or hybrid? Awesome video. I love Bear bows.

Between the two, binary, as the cams are slaved together and they don't go easily out of synch. With single cams, you don't have the need to synch the cams as, obviously, you only have one cam to worry about, but this cam still needs to start its rotation from the correct position, for the bow to stay in tune, and, as the main string also acts as one of the cables, it is very long, and the probabilities it stretches increase, compared to other systems. Imo, the binary system is the more "stable", but you really should consider to tune your bows and check their tuning from time to time, every two months or so.

Came here to say single cam, but I was already beat to it. If you want a set and forget bow get a single. I had my adapt shooting bullets AND sighted in within 5 arrows.

Single cam is the easiest to set and forget. Also the slowest. Hybrid cams were the flagship staple of Hoyt for over 20 years and great performers. The binary offerings from bear have the greatest adjustability with the letoff and draw length tweaks.

@@averagejackarchery I learned to never underestimate an efficient single cam. My adapt is shooting a 630 grain arrow at 240 fps. That's some pretty impressive performance.

I believe they are PSE rollers, so your local shop shouldn't have a problem ordering one for you. If they can't, you can find them at Lancaster or your local Cabelas/Bass Pro for like $35. My first bow several years ago was a Diamond and going from a plastic slide to that roller was a great upgrade.

I'm also a 34-38" bow shooter. But, as you know, we're small subset of dudes that have a 31"+ draw length. Not a big seller for a lot of companies because of it.
