With some of these sharp broadheads deer sometimes get shot and they run a few yards and look around like nothing happened. I have had a few do this then they take one step and flop over. When shooting with a gun they bolt until they can't run anymore.

Thats one of those amazing times hunting that you'll never forget! I'm sure there will be other awesome hunts for you. 2007 was an awesome year hunting and fishing for myself. It started in april when i shot a Michigan record book turkey, a week later i caught my biggest brown trout, 25" 6lbs. On opening day. July i received a letter from Michigan DNR informing me that after 25 years of applying, I drew an elk tag!!!! I shot a 5×6 michgan bull elk from horseback. Didn't have time to dismount from the horse and took the shot from the saddle!!!! That was August. October, i shot another turkey in the fall hunt. All of that in 2007. Shockingly awsome year...my personal best. Wishing everyone a future of great hunts. Ralph, son of Michigan.

Last year I left a descent 10 in the woods to deal with Thanksgiving (I'm single father with custody of 2) and when me and deddy got back to the woods a bear had drug him off the hill in the duck swamp, we backed out and the next morning it wasn't enough left to drag out, she had 2 cubs with her is why they eat so much! I cut the horns off he was 16 n a quarter inside anyway, made me stick to my saying, when you gun hunting shoot as long as you can shoot and if shot is good get him quick! This deer was hit twice and ran maybe 80 yards from the field, and we were gone that night at most 3 hours but I wasn't positive about the shots and intended to give him a little time! Awesome story! A handful of years back, I filled my combo license in one day. I shot a 7 point on opening morning with my shotgun, and a bigger 8 point in the afternoon. It ended up being a gut shot and as an un-experienced hunter, I jumped it from where it would have died and went asking for permission to track and recover, then returned about 11 pm. In the meantime, it had snowed 3-4” and all my blood trail was covered. Luckily for me, a critter (coyote likely) had dug up the blood trail and it was like following the yellow brick road to my big 8! He was still hanging on for deer life (😉) when we found him. I took him out and we never lost any meat to the critter.

I had the exact same thing happen to me …. I stayed in the tree for a bit after I shot a doe hoping a buck would come along..An hour later I got down “after the bear had visited my Treestand”, and went for my deer…The bear was already chewing on it…I had a HELLUVA time convincing him the deer was mine…I finally got him off the deer and started dragging to the truck…The bear followed me most of the way and I had to stop and try to scare him off again…What a nightmare…

That's pretty wild. We have a lot of bears around my cabin in MichiganAnd I've never seen that happen or had it happen to me. Also I've only seen beairs once while snow was on the ground in my area. The bears usually hibernate about a weekBefore the average first snowfall which is November 15th, Which also coincides with opening day of gun season and the peak day of rot in Michigan according to the DNR. The latest I've ever seen a bear is November 7th while in my tree stand. This is a wild experience you've captured on film, pretty rare Also. Great video, great experience

What's so great about ending the life of an animal like that if you're not starving yourself? Dude is going to get in his truck, go home, and still eat food he didn't kill. So this was incredibly cruel and evil, what this guy did to that bear. It was an unnecessary, cowardly kill.
@juliolua210411 ай бұрын
@@ghostdetective311 If "you'd" rather die if a dangerous wild animal puts your life at risk then that's your choice but most people including myself (and I hold animals sacred) would rather reserve our right as human beings to be the apex and decide wether or not the situation calls for it to preserve our life. But hey man more power to you if you ever come across this situation... don't forget to hit "record" and leave something for us to remember you by ✌️😄

Bear spray and a big attitude. Black bears tend to bugger off when challenged unless they've gotten to your kill and "claimed" it already, then it's a loss and unless you have a bear tag usually better to let it have the kill than to challenge it.
