Clay, thank you for this video. Truly shows the sporting side of hunting with hounds. No matter the quarry, there is nothing quite like the sound of hunting dogs when they strike a track.

I had a chance to hunt bear with hounds in Ca. before it was outlawed. I didn't have any previous experience with hounds, and my preconception was that using hounds on bears was like shooting fish in a barrel. It turned out that my preconception was about as wildly inaccurate as possible. We hunted for days before we found a good track, only to have the dogs trail it for miles but it didn't tree. That happens more often than I'd imagined, but the dogs were eager to go the next morning and they treed a big chocolate for me. To this day bear meat is my favorite game meat and I'll never forget those blue ticks bellowing on the mountainside. Thanks Clay, for steadfastly representing an honorable tradition!

Thank you for the great video! I really enjoy the adventure, almost like I am there! Actually, I have never been hunting, much less for bears. I believe the only time I have seen a bear was on a family vacation to Tennessee when I was a child. My dad paid a quarter to watch a bear stand up and drink a coke. The coke cost a nickle, so it was like at least 50 years ago. Don't see many bears in the coastal Virginia city where I live, although they are in the Great Dismal Swamp to the west of me., I wish I could go on a bear hunt, and maybe will get a chance eventually. But until then, I am with you every time I am blessed with your excellent productions. Please keep these coming!!
