My bear's paw is super leggy, like Groot, and only has about 5 pairs of paws. Yet it looks very healthy otherwise. I live in the PNW, so maybe it needs a grow light? It's in a southern window, but it may not get a full 6 hrs of 🌞 Love your videos!💚🌵

Love the video! My two baby 🐻🐾 also made the difficult trek across the US during winter with a heated sleeping bag. After waiting a few weeks, I repotted them using cactus soil. I live in South Texas and have them on a west facing window sill. A week after repotting I noticed the soil was still damp !!😱😱 The humidity isn’t even that bad right now, but in summer is very high. Do you think i should use a more gritty soil ?

OM🌱G wow, it sounds like they've had a pretty cool journey! With plenty of sun I'll bet they'll be just fine, some cactus mixes do drain faster than others, and yours might be a lil slower draining, but even if that's the case as long as the roots have a good chance to dry out between waterings and their container isn't a gigantic one their wee lil roots should stay happy and healthy, Thanks so much for watching and for your comment too, best of luck to you and your paws, I hope you all enjoy your new Texas home! 😃

Oh dear! I wish you the best of luck! All the bear's paws I've propagated from cuttings have done really well, but all of my leaves look pretty much exactly the way they did when I added them to the propagation tray, so I guess it's good that they haven't dried out but I wish they'd grow something 😐 haven't given up hope, but I am getting a little bit discouraged

I've heard that it's impossible, but also that it can be done but that it's super difficult 🤔 based on my experience though, I think it might be impossible. Or maybe I just did it wrong, I'm still waiting though, it's been well over a year and some of the leaves on my tray have yet to dry out. Maybe they got some kinda evil magic keeping them going!

All dead. Maybe they would have rooted eventually, but I don't think imatry it again, cuttings prop is much faster and more efficient in general anyways, thanks for watching and asking tho!!! 😃👍

I noticed mine was dropping leaves. Then, while inspecting it, tragedy struck. She fell out of her pot and every.single.leaf. Fell off:( What should I do?

Oh mercy that IS a tragedy! I'll bet it will grow new ones in a couple months if you can keep it alive until the growing season. Did you get a chance to look at the roots during your inspection?

@@smittyandsky Yes! The roots look good to me. I have a feeling I may have overwatered but they don’t look mushy or black and it smells fresh lol. So you think I should just leave it be and it may grow back leaves?

I do. Give it lots of indirect sunlight and don't water it for a couple weeks so the roots can scab over from any trauma that may have occurred on impact, and I'll bet you'll have some chubby fuzzy lil leaves within a couple of weeks after the start of the growing season. 😘
