Thanks for sharing brother, I too find these to be of good value for USA made traditional knives, so much so that I picked up all six of them as well as one of the the WSB modern knives. Although I'm not a fan of most of B&S other offerings, I am really digging these large barlows. Hopefully B&S will build on the popularity of these and we will see an improvment in their other products.

Nice set of Barlows that are all a little unique ... something for everyone. A 4" barlow, multiple variations, with decent fit.n.finish, and priced near RCB ... and American made/assembled ? May have to check these out (I have neither owned nor handled a B&S that I am aware). Thanks for the share, Andrew.

These not only scratch the barlow itch, but present a barlow in a size rarely seen. I'm just over the moon about these. BTW, the Heritage knives are always walnut because of its use in early American production. Super old school.
@BaxtersBlades7 ай бұрын
Very cool! Ohhhhh got it. Thank you Kenneth! I thought is was Carbon steel. Thanks for watching. How many are you gonna get?
@KennethKellogg-kt7bf7 ай бұрын
@@BaxtersBlades so far I've got 5. All pinned. I'm pondering the walnut because I've got the rosewood. I'm interested in the D2 models, but already have white bone, and I own several Lionsteel, and two of those Lake Champlain in camo carbon, so the G10 just seems like something already in my collection. I'm also indifferent to damascus, unless it's stainless, and even then... Oh, it's the carbon blades too. Actually old school would be iron bolsters and liner, but if you ask me anything besides chipped obsidian is just modern crap🙃
@BaxtersBlades7 ай бұрын
@@KennethKellogg-kt7bf very cool Kenneth. Those Lions deals are awesome! Smoky Mountain Knife Works list some as Rosewood but I think they're all Walnut I'm not sure though but they look the same. I do prefer the old school pinned ones but I did want to try at least one of the moderns.
@KennethKellogg-kt7bf7 ай бұрын
@@BaxtersBlades I do like modern traditional, but a pinned knife is a feat of craftsmanship. At a certain point there's no going back. When they're perfect it's almost a magic trick.

@BaxtersBlades7 ай бұрын
Carbon steel isn't that bad really depends on the climate that you live in. I wipe the blades off and oil daily after use. I got these from Red Hill Cutlery with a 20% off discount code I can give you. They are about the same price at Smoky Mountain Knife Works and they also have them at Chicago Knife Works. I will send some links.
