The Philips Norelco S9000 Prestige electric shaver is touted for its extra strong and sharp NanoTech precision blades that provide the ultimate closeness for your shave.
The Philips S9000 Prestige is an Amazon Choice recommendation, ranking for the category of Men’s Shaving & Grooming Sets.
Inside the box, you’ll find the Philips S9000 Prestige shaver, including a wireless Qi charging pad, click on precision trimmer and premium carrying pouch
Taking a look at the shaver head, Philips boasts that this shaver has wider and rounder openings, capable of cutting more hair per pass for a less repetitive shaving experience over the same area.
Additionally, the multi-directional head works to maneuver and contour to the angles of your face, helping to cut those hard-to-reach hairs for a smoother shave.
The S9000 shaver features anti-friction SkinComfort rings for a smooth glide along your skin, as well as a BeardAdapt Sensor that auto-adjusts power based on the density of your beard.
Moving down the Philips S9000 shaver, you’ll find a speed adjustment button for personalizing cutting speed based on the sensitivity level of your skin. Choose between three trim settings from low to high, which Philips Norelco labels as comfort, dynamic or efficiency speed.
According to Philips, plugging in cords in wet areas is no longer the case, with the included Qi charging pad. Simply place the Philips S9000 Prestige Shaver down on the pad for a wireless charge.
As far as battery life, this S9000 Prestige Shaver takes a 3 hours charge for up to 60 minutes of use and the Philips shaver includes a quick charge feature that contains enough power for one shave after 18 minutes of charging.
Also, within this main display of the S9000, you will find several more indicators including a cleaning reminder for cleaning the unit after each use for optimal performance and a travel lock indicator to lock the shaver when traveling.
Additionally, this Philips S9000 Prestige shaver features a replacement reminder for replacing your shaving heads, with a recommended replacement of every 2 years.
According to Philips, this rotary electric shaver can be used wet or dry and is waterproof, suitable for the bath or shower and for cleaning under the tap.
Included is a beard shaving attachment, good for pre-trimming long beard hairs before shaving.
As far as shaving, Philips Norelco does note a skin adaptation period where your first shave may not bring you the result you expect and your skin may even become slightly irritated. This is normal.
Philips recommends shaving with the S9000 Prestige Shaver 3 times per week for 3 weeks to allow skin to adapt.
So, for this demonstration, I put the Philips Norelco S9000 Prestige Electric Shaver to the test against my 7-day stubble to see if this electric shaver is the best fit for you.

The arc 5 precision trimmer feature is my favorite shaver....i rarely use the foil...that trimmer shaves so close it looks so clean...is there a precision shaver that goes .1mm .2mm or .3mm i know some are .4mm but i need lower...

Panasonic are the best, the Braun shavers run them close, the series 7 was excellent, BUT the Philips are the quietest. The funny thing is the performance has harldy improved in the last 50 years, yet the prices have rocketed. Shavers are really an exercise in marketing these days.

Great review mate, I just purchased a Pano Arc6 with cleaning station for a steal @ $423 ($283 US) AUD but this Philshave is a tad more pricey @ $499 AUD ($334) yet what draws me to the Prestige is the wireless charging (game changer!) compact size and nice ergonomics, I find it as a perfect travel companion. If I had the money I'd purchase the Phili as well and get the best of both worlds. I'll stick with my decision on the Pano Arc6 as I too prefer a foil shaver and from my research it's the closest shave next to the Braun series 9 Pro.

The bad thing about rotary shavers is they are good if you’re completely clean shaven but if you have a beard or goatee it will screw up your goatee or beard because you’re going in a circular motion not going straight me personally I’ve always preferred foil shavers instead.
