I’m 22, been growing my 1st beard for about 6 months. With some patchyness on the cheeks it’s been tough but finally starting to look like a real beard. The biggest mistake I’ve made was trimming my mustache shorter for the first few months. Letting the stache grow out all the way has helped fill in some spots. The main thing I keep telling myself through this journey is “ILL NEVER GIVE UP” 🤣👍

I’ve been watching your videos for a couple of years now and have really appreciated the knowledge and advice that the Breadbrand community have passed on. It helped me become feel more comfortable with my beards potential and inspired me to grow and keep a beard for a few years now. I thank you for this. One thing that I’m not sure the channels have touched on much is winter maintenance. I’m outdoors for a decent amount of time and will be in and out of heat/cold a lot in a day. And I’ve noticed that for the last couple of years I’ve really struggled with keeping my skin healthy from Oct to March/April, particularly on my chin. It gets extremely itchy in these months and finding good products to help is really difficult. I’ve invested in a number of products and am happy to pay for good products, however the number of products out there is overwhelming and finding one for my specific products is surprisingly difficult. I use reasonably good quality balms, oils and moisturisers. However the only product that I’ve found helps is Palmers cocoa butter and that will ruin my skin elsewhere if I use it to much. Just a side note on this, my beard is relatively similar to Eric’s, hence commenting on this video. It’s more spares overall than his, but grows quite well on the chin and stache, more thin on the sides, it’s reddish and is wavy, maybe more curly than his on the chin… If any of this information helps. I wonder if my issue is common with guys in colder and/or more temperate climates, if so I thought it could be a worthwhile video recommendation? An idea of product types, ingredients and grooming habits specifically for winter beard might be an interesting video. What do my bearded brothers in temperate to cold north do in winter? Please, any advice would be greatly appreciated, I was so close to being beardless last winter 🤯 I don’t want those thoughts and temptations again this year!

Im 5 months in, 25y/a, last month when I went to get my first trim the barber who did my beard told me that it is great on thickness and she approved my idea on growing it out til it goes, its around 3 inches in length now and I cant wait to see how far it grows (no shave challenge I set myself when I turned 25 while having like 12mm length fresh trim that morning, set myself up for a year of no shave) been hydrating it with peppermint oil that I made myself using fresh peppermint and ev-olive oil, did help it grow thicker and faster at the beginning but Im down to that slower pace now when I oil it less frequently, keep up the good work on channel and well, long beards have returned to fashion i guess 🎉

Puberty started out late for me; I'll be 58 in December. Facial hair finally started growing in this year. I used to only have to shave once a week. Since I'm retired and no longer have to worry about having scruffy facial hair I decided to try growing one. I've been at it for almost two months and my beard has only grown out about an inch. I'm trying to be patient as I am having problems with patchy growth. I'd like a fuller beard but sometimes I wonder if I should just settle for thicker sideburns with a goatee. I'd rather not though.

It's just not a walk in the park. I'm excited to see what it turns out to be like. I'm 42 now so let's see what happens in a years time! Any tips on going natural with beard care and hygiene (meaning right now no oils or balms)? Can't wait to hear from you guys! Beard on!!!!!!!!!

Hey Eric! I’m 21 and growing my first power beard (6-8 months) and I’m on month 3 now. I’ve grown a thick beard since I was 12 or so. It grows pretty thick everywhere except my mustache. It takes more time. For someone 3 months in, would you recommend the luxury grooming tool kit? I’ve been serious about growing a beard for about a year now but I’m only just now in an employment situation where I’m able to grow to my hearts content. Thanks in advance.

I've been watching your videos for a couple of years on Beardbrand and decided to grow my beard since the beginning of last year. I also experimented with different hairstyles. My parents don't want me to grow my beard out and wants me to keep it short because of stereotypes and racism, but I really want to grow my beard longer. How should I deal with it? I'm 20 and I also have a patchy beard and notice that when I grow it out it looks much fuller, but the problem is that my beard hair is wild and grows curly from different directions. Is there a way to make my beard appear neater while keeping it long?
@austinsmithson31483 жыл бұрын
Beard balm!!! My beard is wild curly and wavy as well, and a good balm helps keep it under control. A complete game changer.
@EricBandholz3 жыл бұрын
Generally around 3 months of growth you can start to do advanced grooming techniques, like the one with a blow dryer and round brush. Or use a beard straightener device to help tame the hairs. Shorter beards can be more challenging to tame, but the boar's bristle brush and a bit of balm can help.

I've had a beard for more or less the last ten years, and I've gone through periods of time using beard products, however, I currently have pets, cats and dogs, that like to lick my face when I get home before I shower, and I'm so paranoid about using anything that could be harmful to them. I know tea tree oil is pretty harmful to cats, and even small doses can be fairly toxic. Any recommendations for anything I could use to keep my skin hydrated underneath but still very natural and non-harmful to my furry friends? I've considered coconut oil and olive oil, but those both get kind of greasy feeling.
