+StarWarsLegoMan12345 Surprisingly, bearded dragons lay eggs much easier in brown sugar because of the calcium it has. It strengthens the eggs so they don't break as easy. Most bearded dragon owners lay out brown sugar for their beardies to lay their eggs in.

Loose substrate comments: A LOT of people TEMPORARILY put dragons in with diggable substrate like this so they can lay. Sometimes they will NOT lay their eggs, which means they retain them and will die. As a general use, yes, loose substrate can cause impaction. But this is an EGG LAYING VIDEO. =) Always use any loose substrate with caution, of course. Thank you for reading.

Its for the warmth, reptiles don't sit on their eggs to incubate them like birds as they lay too many (there are few exceptions to this rule such as pythons who often wrap around the eggs rather then bury it). It perfectly fine the baby lizards will make it out. Just look at crocs and turtles, they lay eggs buried very deep ^^

Hello, my beardie just laid a clutch of 13 eggs, and your incubator tips really helped me. But i have a few question, as she was nesting, i noticed she was trying to burrow and i bought another bag of sand for her but she wishes to dig further than the enclosure. if there already is one, could you show me a little tour of your enclosure?
