I need whatever size and model Penn that holds 250 yards of 6lb mono. I had a 430ss for over 20 years and it finally got lost. They don't make that model anymore but it caught 1000s of fish with me. I'm about to move back to Florida and go snook fishin' at the beach and I like to do it with very light tackle. I'll need a big setup too but small stuff is more important.

Penn pursuit lll 2500 will hold 255 6lb mono. I would recommend the 3000 tho. And if you want bigger get the 5000 or 6000. I love my 5000 and 6000

As far as size goes, I’d go with a 4000. You can catch just about anything and it’s not too heavy if your going to be casting all day. If you don’t plan on throwing too much artificial, the 5000 would be good
@TheMrJackpinesavage3 жыл бұрын
We have really just cleaned out everything and just gone to Penn 4000's and 6000's . Now that we have done that I find my self with just the 6000's just to get the long cast.. So what do you suggest for a guy fishing off the rocks that just cant seem to get that big fish to shore? LOL!!
@robertrio6323 жыл бұрын
I use Daiwa BG 2500 and 4500 the big one is for the pier because if I don't get the fish in fast the dolphin will grab it, goal is to get the fish to the surface and skip it on the surface.
