Exploring Abandoned Hidden Royal Mail Farm - Chesterfield - Abandoned Places | Abandoned Places UK

Known as Manor Syck Farm it is a disused farm located in the area of Chesterfield. It was owned by farmer Sam Hadfield, who retired in 2005, spending the last years of his life in a care home and he passed away in 2008.
The farm, which consisted of two dwellings, stables, garages and other outbuildings, fell into a state of disrepair over time. It was noted for storing old vehicles, including rare Royal Mail carts and included many things from the 60's and 70's left to decay.
I suspect that the site was used for some other business purposes as well by what we found such as many different company names and hints linking to this.
The site was acquired by developer Chesterfield Bruce Smith in 2012, and applications were submitted for conversion. These were denied, and again denied in 2015.
