Thanks for the review. After watching a half-dozen reviews, you're the only one who has mentioned the ease with which the on-screen keyboard can be displayed. Another reviewer suggested going into Accessibility and adding the floating Home button and keyboard that way, but it gets in the way. Your solution is easier. One note about Bluetooth keyboards, apparently they still work fine even though the iPad thinks it's already connected to a keyboard because the three pogo pins are being used to charge it. Regarding the rubber-ish material covering the metal plate ( @3:06 ), another reviewer did say that heat from the iPad is drawn away quite effectively into the stand, so I'm guessing it is a combination semi-soft material that also has much better heat conduction properties than the felt-like alternatives you mentioned. I'm considering the X33 Pro for my M2 iPad Air 13, but I travel to different sites, and the weight is the biggest drawback. It's hard to argue against the design, though, as the heft and size appear to make it a very stable surface especially for drawing. I just wish there were light flipcases that used the pogo pins so I could travel, keep the iPad charged, and use the USB-C port for connecting to an external display.

Since you mentioned travel, what stand or case do you use for travel that still keeps your iPad charged and connected to an external display? I am looking for one! Thanks for your comment!

Just got the desk stand to replace one I was using from Pitaka with my old M1 and I really like it so far. I love that it doesn’t require a case on the back for charging like the Pitaka does, but it is very stiff at first and I agree about the material worrying me that it’ll scratch the back when taking on and off. Great review!

I really want the magnetic/charging part without the stand. Do you think it would be possible to break the 360 degree spinning part off? Edit: Ended up picking this up. I warmed up the piece on the ipad side of the stand and was able to separate it from the metal backing. There are 2 screws holding the plate to the stand. Very easy to remove. The magnets are a little tricky to get back in. I ended up leaving half of them out because they are super strong anyway.

Hm interesting, possibly as the charging area where you plug in the cable is on the plate, not stand.

Fine video! What i in addition like to know is, whether the hinge between base and arm opens to a maximum of just 90 degrees or is it more, ideally 135 degrees. My setting is very special, hence this strange question. I have a pro 2024 M4. Thank you very much!

Can this work with a case on? I am debating the ear cases or an off brand megnetic case cause the color options and cuteness is more common on other brands. I really been wanting to make a interchangeable magnetic combination of esr cases, a base case that’s some cuter more protective option form some other brand, and some the magnetic stands, one for home with that multiple bending arm option and one folding that I can take outside home.

Apple really needs to provide specs in advance for anyone who pays for the MFI program (Or whatever that's called these days) ... the surprises when products are announced are fun for a day, but waiting months for good accessories sucks.

Interesting note regarding the show keyboard thing. Sounds like this company have tricked the iPad into thinking a keyboard is attached. Which suggests this product is not certified by Apple and the charging compatibility could break with a future software update. (If Apple wanted to block a product like this from working)
@beardfm6 ай бұрын
I think Apple allows third parties to use the Smart Connector (like Logitech and the combo tough keyboard), but the support is for “keyboards only.” So they probably needed to make the iPad think it’s a keyboard being attached.

Do you understand that some people are COMFORTABLE paying a price for additional conveniences, features or quality of life improvements that others are not? It’s OK to pay less for less but the opposite is equally true.
