He had 26 TDs and 8 INTs, for a 3:1 TD-INT ratio, which was also one of the tops in the league. That was in 15 games. Two more games and he hits 30, which is his career average and n a 16-game schedule, skewed downward by 2022 and 2016, his two injury seasons. He made 4 of the five least probable pass completions of the season! He rushed for nearly 350 yards in 15 games played, which scales to 400 rushing yards over a 17-game schedule. So we know his legs still work. There are plenty of stats showing that Russ is still that dude, and he did all of this with a coach who hated on him and went against him the entire season. Williams hasn't played one down in the NFL and is already an anointed savior. So many number-one overall QBs in the past 25 years have been just as hyped, and other than Payton Manning, all the others were disappointing, to say the least. Do the math. The Bears now have only four draft picks going into the draft. Two of them are top ten including the number one overall. The Bears are deciding right now what draft compensation offer to accept before trading the number one pick. That is the only thing that makes any sense. Then these same sports talk shows will praise the Bears for what they get back in draft compensation. Who knows, maybe next years overall number one.

The Eagles couldn't have chosen Fields as the target to trade for just because of the Philly dynamic. Fields has too much upside and if the city is ever tired of Hurts then there would be real pressure to start Fields. Pickett doesn't generate that kind of fervor.
@CasperX226 ай бұрын
Hot take, Fields is a worse QB than Pickett. Also next 2 years Pickett makes 980k and 2.2m Fields makes 6 mil and 25.6 mil if the team acquiring him picks up his option. Nobody is paying Fields that to be their backup. And nobody is trading anything at all for Fields to be a 1 yr backup before hitting FA. Also lastly, by all means defend Fields 30 ints and 38 fumbles in his career already 😂

I rarely disagree with Nick but I see being Russ better next year or at least have a better season. Actual production last year, change of scene, being humbled, Pittsburgh culture. Haircut. As many have said, adding the local talent is a very nice touch.

Nick’s take on Russell Wilson and his quarterback play will be a classic three for him this year. Put a pin in this comment and come back to it in the future because it will be a while until we can prove for sure, but take my word for it.

Justin Fields should go to the Jets. Backup Aaron Rodgers, learn more of the passing game and then he's the next guy.

Justine fields should go to the Jets and understudy with Rogers and be prepared if he gets hurt again.

[4:10] Borderline HoF, then how did Dan Fouts, Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, and Kurt Warner end up in the Hall of Fame… Russell Wilson is already a Hall of Fame quarterback, by comparison… 🤔
@dfp_016 ай бұрын
For real. Except Kurt Warner and Dan Marino, Wilson's career resume outpaces those other guys. He just needs a few more ok seasons-not great or even good seasons-to be a surefire Hall of Famer.

Remember Calib is not going to the worst team which is what usually happens. The Bears trade last year for the pick and they are currently a slightly above average team

Steelers should get fields. Let him and Russ battle. Both very cheap

Russell Wilson is going to a better system with better weapons even if they aren't the highest paid players in the league or on the team. George Pickens is crazy good, Pat Freiermuth is a consistent top 15 TE, both of our running backs went for 1000 yards last year and if we don't have to have our defense on the field 80-90% of the game we should DOMINATE on defense. I think the Steelers could be a surprise AFC North division leader and potential number 1 seed. I hope we make the AFC conference championship game
@CasperX226 ай бұрын
So you have a decent #2 WR and an average TE. You're right. Russ has never had so many weapons in his life to work with!
