Most Talented QB since Sid Luckman (who retired in 1950). Our Bears FINALLY "have that dude" at qb. Get a OC as the new HC pay him well, get a good staff of developing type coaches, and spend 90% of our draft picks on O line along with a D lineman or two and we SHOULD be a playoff team for a decade plus...... The “twin” completions to Hockensen should be the final nail in Everlose’s coffin. One was to convert a long 3rd down and the other got them in range for the chipshot to win. Sorry but the defense has been suspect in the 5 game losing streak and any good from his defense making a few stops is negated by 1) the whole Hail Mary drive, 2) the last second of the first half long TD run by the Cardinals(and subsequent collapse), 3) getting curb stomped by the Pats, 4) letting Love drive at will with the exception of a red zone INT, 5) letting Darnold drive at will with the exception of the Jones fumble. The certainly is not over!! We have found our quarterback and a competent OC. The defense is still solid and is only a few pieces from being elite. The biggest question I have does Poles deserve a right to pick another HC, and finish the rebuild, Flus is good as gone at this point. We can have cap space and can acquire a few extra picks to turn this roster into contenders, if we can keep Williams on track. This season was never about making the playoffs, but this team has underperformed and there needs to be more consequences for that. Poles put this crew together and can we trust him to put another coaching team together?

Facts season was over and management green lighted it the off season. CW will be a great story to talk about at least the next 3 seasons of missing playoffs but he’ll at least throw for 4000 yards😂😂😂😂. We had a better opportunity this season of making playoffs with Justin, drafting a center like Jackson Powers which would have been possible with trading down! That said can’t wait to season 3 of CW hopefully we’ll have pieces still viable around him.

Funny thing about the Bears: when our backup QBs come in, it's usually SEASON-ENDING BAD (see: Caleb Hanie, basically anyone 2015-2022). Bagent sort of broke that but you get the point. However, when other teams' backups come in? They tend to be fine. Not great, but fine. It's sort of like the stat that Bears' kickers are kicking something like 80-85% at Soldier Field since Robbie Gould left but opposing kickers are at like 96%. It's just mind-blowing how many stats exist to show how crazy bad this organization is.

There was reports last year and, in the off-season, saying the "Culture" of the team was Justin Fields, not Eberflus! The team lost their leader, and it has affected some of the chemistry... the good thing is it appears that the players are responding to Thomas Brown and Caleb Williams over the last 2 games. When I hear Eberflus or Poles talk about Culture, Creativity or Accountability, I laugh wondering when they will heed those words.

Honestly, I think we are now in the best case scenario. Lose a lot of games but with Caleb looking legit, get some nice draft picks, solidify the offensive and defensive lines, and hopefully bring in a new head coach.
