That ride isn't as pleasant as the Meinl 24' Traditional Byzance ride he used to use. The crashes and hats sound nice though.

Adam Ray he only uses zildjian. That’s a 24’ light ride. Watch the gear rundown.

@tommasovillella32108 жыл бұрын
and..why after years with truth drums he switched for a gretsch, same set up, same model as aaron gillespie?!
@1dudecrush8 жыл бұрын
tommaso villella I'm sure partially because he is influenced by Aaron. But you'll notice he doesn't use Meinl. Objectively, Gretsch are better drums than Truth. Truth and SJC are like fancy cake makers, they dress it up pretty but underneath it's still just a cake (or in this instance, a Keller shell). Gretsch are very very distinct sounding, and higher quality without so many tacky finishes. Like...black forest German chocolate cake. Yeah. Or something. I'm hungry now.
@TheGoldgravitydreams8 жыл бұрын
Mitch ZImmerman this dude.. Hahahahah perfectly summed up
@tommasovillella32108 жыл бұрын
ahahah fancy cake makers lol. true that, never play an SJC tough. crazy how many people plays SJC nowadays. Agree bout Aaron but still, same kit, same colour and he changed as well the tom, now is hanging on the bass drum, it is not on a rack anymore. Anyway who cares, they re both cool drummers:)
@moonodude178 жыл бұрын
Not the same model, actually. Aaron plays a custom-designed Brooklyn kit, and Connor is playing a newer Renown kit here (newer because they changed the hoops from die-cast to 302). Configuration and dimensions are different, too. Aaron plays 13x8, and I forget the depths of the 16" and 18" floor toms unfortunately, but the kick is a 22x14. Connor plays 13x9, 16x16, 24x14. 1 up/2 down for Aaron, 1 up/1 down for Connor.
@1dudecrush8 жыл бұрын
Fun fact, Aaron Gillespie switched to Zildjian literally just today. These two are now back to using the exact same brands haha.

@JasonWaltonFilm8 жыл бұрын
haha what do you mean?
@thepathofquassan8 жыл бұрын
In my eyes the drummer is in charge of leading the heavy rhythm and Connor is a bigger guy, which I don't have a problem with along as you can play good then I'm ok with it, but overall it was just a compliment. Jason Walton
