Beast Kingdom BATMAN Dynamic 8ction Heroes DAH-001 Action Figure Review -PLUS CAPE SWAP

So this here will be the first in a video review series where we look at together the Beast Kingdom Dynamic 8ction Heroes Dawn of Justice and Justice League DC action figures. First it's Batman. Next will be Superman and after that will be Wonder Woman. I will be reviewing the rest but I'm not sure in what order though. This video will be a little simpler but longer than a regular review. Because of this facr it will be a little bit more raw and mush less polished and complex. If you like the more flashy style I have been doing for the last six months they aren't going away, I just need to make simpler videos too. Your cape fills out his silhouette a little better and can even cover his ugly ball shoulders, nice job 👍 As for my thoughts on this figure based on what I’ve seen... he’s very blah. Even ignoring his scale which immediately makes it a pass for me because I just don’t collect this size, I think his proportions are really off and the articulation doesn’t work as nice as I’d hoped. It looks decent, but not good enough to warrant a buy from me

This company is horrible. I sent everything I ordered from them(through bbts) back. It all looks and feels like Chinese knockoff/unlicensed figures.

I wonder what he looks like with the new McFarlane Snyder cut red and blue superman cuz you know McFarlane ain't never gonna give us a bvs Batman or any of the first suicide squad characters... we didn't even get a black mask or cheetah which is crazy! McFarlane really needs to get his ass in gear and pump out some live action characters in the multiverse line!

I prefer my SH Figuarts Batman from Justice League. I just had to pull the balljoint in the lower abs and the one connecting his chest to his lowers up as well. I was waiting for a review beast kingdoms products thank you!

I have all the DAH figures so far I'm patiently waiting for the justice League figures to become available on Amazon. I personally love this line and I stopped collecting other lines because imo DAH is killing it . I hope they continue with the line I want zod and faura and a mos version of superman

The cape at the cowl bothers me,how it sticks out the front of the cowl instead of the corners of it. Will probably get it once it drops in price, the mafex is much better

Jesse Ruiz I agree. The Mafex is much much better IMO. I’ll likely end up selling these off eventually, which is unheard of for me. I almost never sell my DC figures.

Don’t like it. Don’t like the scale. Don’t like the articulation. Don’t like the look. Don’t like the paint. Accessories are quite nice. Bottom line, mafex have made the best Ben Affleck batman. Shf did a fairly good job. Mattel done the best they could for the money. Then there’s this. A super tall, strangely articulated and odd looking figure

I know. They came out a few more times during the review and that footage just ended up on the cutting room floor. They are fairly tight, except for the wrists, but they do come apart easy.

Brad The DC Universe Geek I know! Well we're getting a GL John Stewart for sure I'm still waiting for the batmobile they showed off... I got Deathstroke and joker Deathstroke is awesome I got joker right before the mezco direct one came out and that mez direct one is soooo much better.... I'm waiting for tactical Batman right now , I recently found a DKR Batman I didn't have to mortgage my house for so I'm content waiting..,

I have the Justice League Black Suit Superman and IMO its the best of Beast Kingdom's DC stuff.

I’m glad you like it! I’ve never been partial to Supes in a black suit. During the recovery time in the Reign of Supermen storyline it was cool as a temporary thing though. I’m glad you like it. I think it has the exact same details, articulation, and sculpt as the regular one though, so that’s a good thing. I’ve found myself more impressed with Superman than Batman during filming. The articulation looks and works better.

It's a little bit different compared to Beast Kingdom's BVS Supes. He has a coppered wired cape (I personally hate plastic capes) and doesn't have any alt heads/ accessories other than a lot of extra hands. I really didn't like the SDCC "comic version" of Superman because there is no comic shading on it and it just looks like a dead henry cavil with maximum contrast on his suit because its so bright its blinding.

I agree. As far as SDCC Beast Kingdom figures the only one I liked was Wonder Woman. The Superman and Batman aren't on my want list. I'm not usually a fan of wired capes but I do love a good fabric one without wires. The cape for Batman didn't even last the video. I've finished most of the Superman pictures and footage and I came to the same decision; to remove that huge heavy cape eventually and replace it with cloth goods.

I also do own the JL Flash (I have a head start in terms of imports since I live in Hong Kong) and I magically got the preorder version (magically since i got it in a department store for around $50 US). Accessories wise it is a huge improvement since there is a ton of lightning effects and they aren't obstructive and the joints don't stick out as bad as the Batman's shoulders so you're pretty safe. T he hands are the biggest problem because the colour is dramatically different than the paint they use for Ezra's face. My Flash's hands got that "Racist Asian Yellow Skin Colour From Comic Books From the 1930s" type of yellow and it's pretty jarring and from a Reddit thread someone got a zombie pale white skin. I don't own Cyborg because he looks bad (he has no shading so he literally looks like a human shaped aluminium foil).

I think there is a regular Justice League suit Beast Kingdom figure coming out eventually they had it on display with a Bruce Wayne head. The thing I really don’t like as far as articulation is concerned is those big ugly circular shoulder joints the you can see when you’re looking at the shoulders from the front

Could you please tell me if the head could fit on a Mcfarlane Batman figure with a ball peg ? I'm looking for a new headsculpt for my dark knight returns Batman Mcfarlane, I intend to recreate Batfleck classic suit. It has a ball peg and this headsculpt seems nice if I try it on, no ?

Why are American reviewers obsessed with the groin area of these figures?

In my opinion the proportions on this figure look way off. His arms look way too scrawny for a Batfleck version of Batman which is the same complaint I had for the Mafex Dawn of Justice Batman. I honestly don't see Batfleck in the face either and yes the groin bothers me as well on this figure. I even think the accuracy of the logo is off as well. The only company that has truly nailed the likeness of Batfleck in my opinion is Hot Toys (I know their expensive). The Justice League Mafex Batfleck figures (both the regular suit and tactical suit) are the runners up. I don't like the Mezco Batman v Superman Batfleck figure. It looks too chunky and the suit is too light of a gray. I do think that the Mezco Tactical Suit Batman figure looks good and I honestly think that the Jakks Pacific 20 inch Batfleck figures have all been fantastic especially considering the price point in terms of accuracy and proportions.

I like the Jakks but they are pretty much statues. I suppose that makes sence because I'm not entirly sure why else somebody would buy them other than to just stand them up. I'll never own the HotToys version. I'll admit it looks fantastic but it's waaaaay out of my price range. I'd have to disagree about the Mafex JL Batman though. I think it's a great representation, arms and all. I don't like the Dawn of Justice version from Mafex one bit though. I feel like they missed the mark on that one big time. The arms are a bit thin on some of the figures but as long as they don't look scrawny like the NECA Reeve Superman I'm generally OK. I do really like the Mezco version but don't care for the look of the tactile suit at all. I appreciate your feedback though. We all see things differently, and like I say, I'm just one guy. Thanks for taking the time to write such a complete comment.

I agree with you that both the Mafex Justice League Regular Suit Batman and the Tactical Suit Batman are great figures. I think the proportions on those are fine. I'm really hoping we get a Justice League Movie Version of Deathstroke by Mafex to go along with the Mafex Justice League Regular Suit Batman though. I think that would be pretty cool.

It looks nice, has some cool qualities, and all that, but 8 inches is too off for any scale I really collect much. I do like the grapnel gun with the wire and anchor, though, that's quite nice.

Arrowdodger Yeah... I don’t understand why some of these companies keep going 8 inches. I wish we had more options at the 6” scale. Because I usually end up getting Mafex and sometimes Mafex are prettt disappointing. They keep making Ben Affleck Batman too damn skinny

8 inches is such an odd choice. For me I'll end up with all of the league so I'll be able to make a rad display but others who prefer to cherry pick their figures will have a hard time finding a place for this one.

I wondered about the RC Ultimate Batmobile too. I think it may be a bit big. As for the cape, I usually make mine but this one came from a fella on eBay called Collector13th

Well one thing is for sure this review he does SNAP apart and go back together without breaking others you have to soak them in hot water before you can take them apart to fix anything or whatever but what I don't understand is what are those round dots in his shoulders where the pivot ball is they could have covered that up to blend it in with the shoulder but it truly sticks out like a sore thumb but I am truly excited and happy that you showed that the Cape could be replaced without difficulty that is what I was waiting to see my friend. But the play Arts Kai Batman are definitely taller than this one and all that needs to be done with them is to change that plastic cape and take it off for another leather looking material fabric cape..
