Spoilers, beware Tbh, I think the manga kind of drifts off into nothing. Like, they introduce constantly new characters just to discard them after a chapter or so. There is development, yes, but it's very slow and Legosi's "love" for Haru is some weird fetish/obsession. But I guess to each their own

SPOILERS FOR SEASON 2!!!!! after seeing episode 7 and rewatching this scene, i 100% believe that this scene is what ACTUALLY happened. riz had stopped taking his medication and in episode 7, he tells tem that which obviously causes tem to panic. i'll rewatch the scene again (from episode 7) but tem only wanted to be there for riz in hopes to help riz get some things off his chest - he just wanted the guy to be able to feel comfortable and safe venting with him. riz completely took this the wrong way and thought that this meant that tem wanted to see the TRUE riz. during tem's murder, riz obviously is experiencing so many emotions along with his own instincts and i believe that he created a scenario in his head to cope with the fact that he killed someone that he was emotionally attached to. sure, they weren't as close as legosi and jack or bill and aoba, but they were in the beginning stages of a friendship. his death is definitely jarring and i can't say i wouldn't be terrified of riz either, the dude is over 6'8 and mostly muscle. running into the lecture hall was a fatal mistake and there was no way that tem would get out of there alive.

@@ComicalWorlds It's trying to go for an impactful sense, but it neuters itself and holds too much back. It's like a child lashing out in anger, but they do so in a restrained manner afraid of actually knocking something over or seriously angering the authority figure. It feels like it's trying to accomplish something, and not trying hard enough to convey that feeling. At least for me. I've heard varied things about the show, it's why I was curious. They didn't show any gore or actual violence. I was disappointed. And if there wasn't any shock or gore, then where is the information and naration leading up to it? It accomplishes neither. It's a generic victim running from a threat with some weak lines put in. The scene is any anime schoolgirl/boy running in a school from some shadowy menacing figure. It's empty and hallow. It's a performance with no character or distinguishing traits. I ask because this opening comes across as trying to impress with an act, instead of showing me what it really is. If this held true for the rest of the show I'd thankfully pass it up. But if it gets better, I'd like to know so I can put my reservations aside to give it a shot. Does this make sense?
