This is actually a stafford gambit in different move order
@Fishy_17
@Fishy_17 22 күн бұрын
Not really. There’s quite a lot different that white can do that gives it some nuance. If white tries to transpose to stafford lines, f5 is always available.
@ToriYamazaki

@@Fishy_17 After move 5 ...Nf6, it most definitely IS a Stafford Gambit. Reached by transposition.
@Fishy_17
@Fishy_17 21 күн бұрын
@@ToriYamazaki It isn’t, because in the stafford, the bishop cannot be on c4 on move 5 or else white has hung the e4 pawn.
@ToriYamazaki
@ToriYamazaki 21 күн бұрын
@@Fishy_17 I suggest you go look up the Stafford Gambit. Assuming you mean the e5 pawn, it is not HUNG but sacrificed... which is the full intent of the gambit.
@ToriYamazaki
@ToriYamazaki 21 күн бұрын
@@Fishy_17 Oh I see what you mean... In the Stafford, 5, Bc4 is an outlier move... more natural is to defend the e pawn. But if white were to play 5.Bc4, it is a true Stafford :)

Queen takes h2 checkmate
@someonerandom9939
@someonerandom9939 13 күн бұрын
@@JeeBandBf4 Qxh2 Bxh2 is the opposite of checkmate After black plays Bf4, you basically have no choice but to take the pawn with your bishop and then you have to kick Bf4 away, chase it with king, and they can develop knight to defend and attack queen. If you take the pawn with knight they can essentially just force you to queen trade and then your attack is over with you in a worse position. Nxf2 Bxf7+ Ke7 Qh5 Nxd3+ Kh1 -> queen trade is only option, queen is trapped and all squares that are defended or not attacked lead to losing queen to a pin or series of checks that block the bishop defender. If you take the bishop your attack ends even faster because of: Bxf7+ Kxf7 Bg3 After Bg3 you can offer the queen trade by counter attacking their queen with your own bishop, but analysis says the best thing to do is Kg6 after which they will play Bxf2, completely ending your attack and they will end up with a rook and queen battery even if you play perfectly in which you will have to trade queens anyway to hold on.
@someonerandom9939
@someonerandom9939 13 күн бұрын
@@JeeBandNot checkmate, Bf4 defends h2. You have to take f2 with bishop too and go through a really complicated and unintuitive line to keep up, either way your attack ends. If you take with knight you're even worse because they can force you into trading queens. I wrote a whole analysis on this but youtube is stupid and keeps deleting comments without even telling me
