Belew’s voice has lost absolutely NOTHING over the years.
@dwightbroemanphotosandartАй бұрын
Truth. I have followed, supported and attended many of his side projects including his power trio with Julie. His vocals here have lost no time since the 80's. He belew me away as I have not heard his as good as the olden days.

It's interesting to see during the song sections Adrian is playing what was originally Fripp's part while singing with Vai playing what was originally Adrian's part.
@PeterSokol-bl5vzАй бұрын
Steve Vai is not the only guitarist who could possibly play Fripp parts like he said when he gave them his blessing….that would be Adrian Belew…..glad to be seeing them at the end of October…they will be in fighting shape.

omg, I love that Tony Levin is using his funk fingers... I hadn't realised he used them also with KC rather than just only with Peter Gabriel...

He didn’t use them in the 80’s version of King Crimson, as they weren’t invented yet.

Steve is actually doing the synthesizer parts on his guitar. For the Beat tour Steve is using two different Roland guitar synthesizers. Ibanez made special guitars for Steve to use when using the guitar synthesizers

Vai seems to have a good time standing in the background for once. Carey is emracing the style, Tony "everyoung" has lost nothing, and the ever smiling Belew, is he for real? The voice, after all the years, just keeps on deliver the goods. This is epic!

We know about Steve, but Adrian has always made it look so easy that maybe he's under-appreciated?

he's TOTALLY underappreciated, at least among the public. I believe musicians respect the hell out of him.

Belew is unappreciated by the public probably, but he has been venerated in the guitar community for over 40 years. He is a totally unique voice and an extraordinary innovator. His avant-garde work with Laurie Anderson is probably the least well known but is well worth checking out.

Funny how I still think of this as a new song. We listened to each one of the records so many times that when the next one came out we were over the moon. This takes me back to summer of 83 like nothing else.
