I really can’t believe, there are people complaining about this? Like I got into an argument with someone that said this group shouldn’t be playing this music? Why?.. They’re doing an excellent job and not embarrassing themselves, only keeping the music and legacy of King Crimson alive, with Robert Fripp’s blessing I might add❤️🎸😎👍

KC has always been about Fripp, this is really allowing Belew to reclaim what was so successful about the 80s KC which was his songwriting and performance. Fripp demanded so much from him and he delivered. Belew has always been able to make the most extreme and experimental so much fun and non alienating. Doing this while standing next to the others is just astounding.

@federicoresendiz36172 ай бұрын
I think “wtf” is being a bit dramatic, no? “Awful timing, poor performance of *every* aspect of this song.” is kind of over the top as far as criticism goes in my opinion. That said, I agree that Danny Carey is many incredible things, but he is not a “funky” or “groovey” drummer, and this song in particular is one of the ones that least suit him out of the repertoire. I think someone like Gavin Harrison, who is also a world class drummer, and played with KC in their last few tours would’ve been able to focus on the timing and feel a bit more than DC did here (even if Gavin Harrison could probably not play DC’s “Chocolate Chip Trip”). For me this goes to show that even amongst the greatest of the greats they all have specific strengths and “weaknesses” that render their performances unique.
