I was really excited when I heard that GSN was adapting bridge of lies. Sadly I forgot it was GSN and that meant it would probably be mediocre compared to the original. Guess what happened?

I watched the series premiere last night to see a full game in action. Kudos to GSN for bringing back the "America Says" top prize value of $15k. However in the end failing the bonus round drops your winnings to (typical GSN) $1k; this is what happened last night on a different episode.

@@lunamelody2025 That was one of my early thoughts, although I have seen a copyright year of 2024 for all shows so far. Maybe Tuesday's show was the first to be recorded but I would not know that answer. The first question in that episode did ask for the ten most expensive cities from the 2022 edition of the "Worldwide Cost of Living Index."

I thought the music was OK. That's one thing I think the UK version has never quite got right - they bring up the dramatic music and you know the contestant's going to crash out in about 30 seconds.

That was one of my thoughts, too. I noticed in Tuesday's episode the first question asked for the world's ten most expensive cities according to the "Worldwide Cost of Living Index" for 2022. This is kinda a similar of family feud, jeopardy and press your luck. But I see audience and no announcers but thier them song was ominous to the 2010 version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. and theirs other team lost the bonus round in one answer correct. But I love this game show.

If anyone wants to take a look at the original version, there's a recent celebrity edition on YT, it's a pointing-a-camera-at-the-TV screen copy so the video quality's not amazing but it'll give you a look at how the original format works. Look for Ian Watkins Bridge Of Lies.

It's a copy of a UK Game show but they've dumbed it down for the US. The UK version has a bigger board where you can have multiple choices with each step. The UK version is called "Bridge of Lies".
