Simon is a class act. He spoke directly to the sign language interpreter, asked her name and welcomed her. And then when he voted yes to the comedienne, he turned to the interpreter, addressed her by name, and voted yes to her too. It is the general practice to ignore an interpreter who is there not to perform but only to facilitate like a stage hand or security guard. Though Simon has a reputation for ill-mannered rudeness, he actually has refined sensibilities.

Both of them are excellent sports and are generous with their laughter! It sets the pace for the audience and loosens them up. David is great too, and none are afraid to openly disagree with Simon. Most people have noticed how much warmer Simon is since becoming a father almost 10 years ago, but he will still stand his ground if the act is not up to par. After all, he modeled all of these shows and his reputation is at stake.

A personal note about the judges...and taking a business POV as Simon would, I'm sure Simon would welcome David back since he felt he needed to retire and avoid a cloud over his leaving. Being constructive and not meaning to slam Bruno, but he does not fit well with the group. His personality fits more for a single host with a big ego. He has a tendency to upstage any judge or even contestant when he is called upon. His booming voice or laugh often drowns out a question or comment by someone important to the act. It's never about him, but he seems to want to make it so. PLEASE BRING BACK DAVID!! The clouds are gone and forgotten...PLEASE COME BACK DAVId!!!
