Lots of eagle eyed viewers have pointed out this video contains a certain James Currie, Mike’s nan’s knitwear, and Barry when he used to get haircuts - needless to say, this video was shot over the course of a few months to fit in with various Covid restrictions and make sure everyone involved was as safe as possible! Very little you all do that we don’t like as a family but for me the olive info made it more enjoyable and of course the excitement of seeing you all together . It's kinda nice that the KZbin subtitles mention that Kostas is speaking Greek. But they're _over the video subtitles of what he's actually saying._ Which is not really ideal.

They don't use default KZbin algorothm. They use a transcription service (and I think I know which one). If I'm right, they have the ability to move the subtitles to the top of the screen to preserve the on screen text and didn't use it.

I agree. I suspect the video sponsor requested it to be postponed until travel restrictions were lifted/things calmed down and it’s only just been given approval to be uploaded. Hence why they didn’t mention James’ guest spot because he hadn’t left yet and no mention of badges. Would have like a little explanation for the delay at the beginning rather than the Sorted comments suggesting James had come back for this video.

loved this episode due to it celebrating culture through learning about its origins, trying the sourced produce and the problems farmers/marketers have had to overcome to produce olives, and using it in dishes you wouldn't normally think about. please do more episodes like this! Great question. The concept is by the Normal and then developed by the food team. The normal then has to learn the recipe and deliver it on their first attempt on camera.

@@aceggkspade958 So you'd disagree with actual farmers and agriculture specialists who understand that climate change allows for new and invasive pests? Not only that, right now, we're see heatwaves in British Columbia cooking fruit crop while they're still on the vine. Not hard to see why they should talk about it, since it impacts our food, its availability, and its production

Was genuinely hoping that you would have invited Marianne from Oliveology to try the dishes as well. Would have loved her thoughts on the use of olives and flavours I love when you have the locals into the studio not just KZbin stars
